I’m very curious about your BL suspension swap in your Base, as I’m considering doing the same thing. Would you mind sharing what you paid for the BL take-off parts? Did you install them yourself or have a shop do it? Besides a realignment and headlight adjustment was anything else needed?
It's no different that changing out the OBX suspension for the Badlands suspension, which is what I recently did.

It takes the shocks, springs, and bump stops; all together I spent around $1500. I didn't need to adjust the alignment or headlights, but that was an OBX going to 33.5" tires. I did use FORSCAN to re-calibrate the speedo to compensate for the new tire size. I did my install myself, but if I had a shop that I trusted, I might have paid to have it done (even though I have a lift).

2” Zone Off-Road kit, plus Zone UCA, Level-Up tie rod sleeves, and Broncbuster bushing. For good measure, I got some Gear America Uber shackles and painted them yellow 😅

@ NJRoadkill I just got a set of 17X8.5 +18 KMC Summit Wheels for my non sas 2 door Outer Banks (2.3L). I was planning to put on 285/70r17 Ko2.

After seeing your set up, the 35” looking so awesome. Do you recommend the 35s after you put some miles on them? No rubbing with stock suspension and crash bars removed? Did your gas mileage take a big hit?

Im still going back and forth between 33” and 35”. Any feedback/ thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!!

No lift (yet) Crash bars removed.
MT Baja Boss A/T 35x12.5r17
KMC 17x8.5 +18

I ordered a GRT Off-road 1.25 front-only collar lift, just in case.

I’m holding out to see if Ford Performance will offer a OE+ lift or some version of the HOSS 3.0.

Otherwise, I’m going to put on (ARB) Old Man Emu at some point. Main Line Overland installed Old Man Emu on a 2 Door and the height looked perfect without changing out the UCA or getting too funky with geometry. As other have said, it’s less about the tires, and more about the turtle 🐢

OE 285 KO2

NOTE: The CG 4D in the background is a big bend with a Zone 2” Spacer Lift On HOSS 1.0. Same Tires. Was in for alignment.

35” MT ”Poke” on +18 offset.

Damn! I got them last year before my build came in. Before the Everglades was announced. I had a lot of issues getting a set of 5 together, but TireRack tracked them down. I just thought it was because of restraints. Didn’t know they discontinued them. Shame. Offset is perfect @+18; splits the difference between OE +35 and 0. They look better then the AnalogHD imho

NP. 🤙🏻 You have the hitachi shocks HOSS 1.0 on the OBX unless you ordered it equipped Sasquatch. You would need a lift (spacer, perch collar, or both) or a new shock set up to fit 35”. 33” (285) should fit with little issue. The lift you choose should consider your end use.

The Badlands, even if Sasquatch isn’t optioned, still has the Sasquatch lift/shocks, the yellow Bilstein or HOSS 2.0 (there’s a slight different between the Badland suspension and Sasquatch but not much.) as I have the 2 door in a M7 configuration it also has the M210 axels with 4.70 gearing and lockers. Like you, I’m also running a more aggressive offset wheel at +18

The long winded point I’m getting to, you cant compare the two. Mine came from the factory with a wink an nod that it was set up for 35” tires. At the time Ford didn't offer a ManSquatch, this was a work around.

As for the MT themselves, they’re awesome. They’ve been performing on and off-road very well. No rubbing under full load or hard over. I’ve always liked Cooper tires (They own MT)

Yes, gas milage dropped slightly. The 35 MT are as heavy os the 37 KO2. Ive only recently put on a performance tune and was able to update and relearn the new tire size.

Have to do your due diligence on wheels, tires, & lift combos. 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
look for Sasquatch or Badland take offs. I’m about to change mine out as soon as the final parts show up. So they do pop up for sale from time to time.

Thanks for taking the time for explaining all that! My apologies for the lack of research/knowledge on my part. I went with 33” Ko2 285/70/16 after your advice. No rub at all with crash bars removed 🙏
