Help me understand this bit of bling--key holder

I don't have a need for this...but I will take the keys out of my pocket while in my Bronco. It all depends on what I'm wearing. If I'm wearing gym shorts, I take my keys, phone, and wallet out of my pockets, so they don't fall out. If I'm wearing jeans or my uniform, I take my phone and wallet out of my pockets and keep my keys in there.

Your link doesn't work but I bought one of those 3D printed key fob holder things and its great. I wheel my rig a lot and do a lot of overlanding/camping. I like to know exactly where my key is. I hate keeping it in my pocket when I'm in and out of the vehicle a lot while wheeling. Why someone has to have an attitude about something like this is pretty funny. I guess you were bored when you decided to post this. What are you going to complain about next...a wallet? Who needs that, just put all your crap in your pocket! Ha!

I see a couple comments about "keeps my wife from sticking her key in the cup holder". Maybe I've lived a sheltered life, but why is the key out in the first place? I leave mine in my pocket; my wife leaves hers in her purse. Isn't it supposed to be an ADVANTAGE that you don't have your key out?

I come home, it comes out of my pocket.

Anything more than that is unnecessary nonsense.

And when they integrate cars with phones, so I can not touch my phone but the car unlocks and the push button start works by proximity, I'll never even carry the fob.

I just wish Ford didn't make their key fobs so damn big.

Step 1: Disable double honk with forscan.
Step 1b, if applicable: Remove any and all bullshit from your keyfob. Why on earth would you want other keys and random nonsense attached to your fob?

After seeing what it costs to replace the key fob, I attached an Air tag and bought a spare key fob.

It bugs me that I had to buy a laptop to run Forscan. Found a refurbished one for $150, but still have about $300 invested to remove the double honk and fix emergency button. More than I wanted to spend.

Ebay, $59 for OEM. $27 to cut the key blank. $0 to program it, thank you Ford for giving that bit of functionality to the end user and for documenting it clearly in the owner's manual.

I'm sure the key (it's not a fob, it's the actual key) can be found cheaper elsewhere.

I haven't done it with my Bronco, but when I used to go to the river either fishing or swimming, my truck keys/ wallet/ phone went into the center console out of site, and the truck was locked. I would use the keypad to get back in. This was on private property Besides that occasion I always keep it in my pocket.
