My wife and I want to take our Bronco on it's first trip. We will be going weekend of 23rd of July. We will be leaving the heat of Texas and heading to Colorado. She wants to go to Florissant Fossil Quarry and I want to see Pike's Peak.
We need help finding good trails for light off roading and camping in our roof top tint. Some back woods trails that a Non-Sas Badlands can handle (It does have a winch).

yep. boondocking . You will see dispersed camp spots here and there. Check with local fire restrictions before having a camp fire. These books are loaded with the required phone numbers to call to be sure the trails are open. Some up high are still opening now as the snow is still deep on north slopes in some areas.

You can spend a few days in the Ouray area running trails. Ridgway State park is good for camping. KOA in Ouray. The Amphitheater that borders Ouray has primitive campsites. You will need to reserve now for any of those. We have a second home there and still haven't ran all the trails there. Also check out Bishop's Castle on the southeast side of Co. Royal Gorge is cool. And also near Ouray (sort of) is the Black canyon of the Gunnison. And for fossils check out the Dinosaur Natl Monument.
