Lol its a windshield replacement they're doing not a flux capacitor replacement....
As many in the thread have pointed out, there appears to be damage to the frame around the windshield.

Accidents aren’t worth getting pissed about in my experience
An accident that I get into is one thing. But taking delivery of a brand new vehicle that already had some mishap, with broken windshield and possibly scraped/dented windshield frame? That would not make me happy. Especially the window frame, because the customer is looking at body repair and repaint on a brand new vehicle.

if the frame is very damaged I would worry, but it looks like its just scraped. So the frame will need to be repainted. I wouldn't sweat that since its such a small portion of the car that needs paint and the mirrors separate the panels.

Apparently no one's had to have windshield replaced lately.

IF THERE'S A CAMERA BEHIND THE MIRROR, make sure they calibrate it. Failure to do so on my wife's RAV cost them a $3k camera replacement under warranty. Part cost alone!

Also long as they fix the windshield and frame, you should be good. You have a Bronco there for you. Who knows how long it would take for a replacement. They do repairs all the time. Have the dealership fix it.

Most likely you were on the bottom of the car carrier and the tie down chains from the top hit your windshield.

My bronco was delivered to my dealer yesterday - YEAH!

However, it showed up with a cracked windshield - see attached.

They can have their body shop replace it - but is there any risk / issue I should also be aware of with this resolution? Any help suggestions would be huge help

looks like the windshield did it's job and took the brunt of the impact of whatever hit. if the frame was put under load, i'm sure the windshield would have caved in somewhat and you'd see much more damage.
if you are unhappy with it, walk away. you'd probably have to wait all over again though.
otherwise, have the dealership do it so they can calibrate and make sure the camera is properly set. see if they can throw in some free accessories for the delay and trouble if they can. make you happy and show they want your business.

Definitely have them replace it with OEM glass. Those auto glass Speedy shops all use 2nd, rejected, optically flawed glass.

Carrier damage. Transport company or Ford is on the hook and is processed like a normal warranty claim. Should be replaced with OEM glass. A FCTP delivered to a dealer near us had one broken when delivered. Not incredibly common but does happen from time to time.

Maybe a tie down chain got loose. Looks like a simultaneous double impact to the window with collateral damage to the paint.

as tough as it would be to walk away, i would ask them to try again and build another. I couldn't imagine waiting all this time only to accept something thats already gunna have new paintwork and body repair before you even took ownership of it. I wouldnt care at all about the windshield replacement, but the body damage is what would ruin this for me, personally.

if you dont have a car to drive until you wait, that would make it hard to walk away.

if you dont accept delivery, im sure theyre going to fix it and sell it to someone without it ever hitting the carfax, or the new owner ever knowing this happened

If I read these comments and didn’t see the photo I’d expect this:

@c2one looked at truck logs to track down his Bronco during transport from the yard to the dealer… he noticed there was a damaged vehicle on almost every truck.
