I got my rail car number from Ford Chat. It is on CSX Transportation and in Ohio with a final destination in Illinois. I'm in California and I thought it would be on Union Pacific. Anyone else on the West Coast with something similar?
Did you get your Bronco? I'm in Oregon, with the CSX tracking it's currently in Chicago. I'm hoping in Chicago is where it goes via UP but I have no idea really.

Did you get your Bronco? I'm in Oregon, with the CSX tracking it's currently in Chicago. I'm hoping in Chicago is where it goes via UP but I have no idea really.
Itā€™s been sitting at the Richmond Port waiting since the 11th. My dealer said itā€™s common for them to sit there for 2 weeks waiting for a truck. Itā€™s frustrating but what are you gonna do? At least I know it will be here soon.

Itā€™s been sitting at the Richmond Port waiting since the 11th. My dealer said itā€™s common for them to sit there for 2 weeks waiting for a truck. Itā€™s frustrating but what are you gonna do? At least I know it will be here soon.
Dealer ended up calling me Tuesday night saying they just received it and we were going to come pick it up on Friday(today). Wife and I were in the area on Wednesday so we stopped by to see before Friday. Dealer asked if we wanted to take it that day (they were slow). They went and detailed it and cleaned her up while we took care of the paperwork. We took her home on Wednesday and love it!

The railcar information we are provided by is given as a courtesy and if we call live personnel we may lose the access and ability to track.

CSX
1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt.
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is)
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report."





Thanks so much for the info. The CSX line worked for me and my 4 door BL is due to be delivered to the local rail yard at 6:05PM tonight!

GGRRRRRRRRRR!!!! Never mind. Bronco was received off the rail in Twin Oaks PA on 11/26..est delivery 12/1-12/5
Nothing like waiting until the last minute!!! 12/4/22 and Bronco still hasn't been delivered to the dealership!!! It's been sitting at the rail yard outside Philly since 11/26/22. This whole process has been a shit sandwich...why should shipping be any different. Way to go FORD!!!!

To tracker via Convoy its asking for a username and password????????? Iv tracker via rail using automated service but now wanted to track via Convoy the rest of the journey. Is there a way to do that?

If you are going by rail, itā€™s more complicatedā€¦

First you will need the rail car letters and numbers. It is on the visibility report or DORA which is from the dealership. You MAY be able to get it from the SVT people but they seem often in a cranky mood and may tell you to get it from the dealer.

There are two major rail companies.

CSX is everything east of the mississippi
UP is everything west of the mississippi

But they all start out on CSX so once they have it in their system they will follow it all the way.

So, how do you track your truck on a railcar?

First and most important. Never talk to live personnel at the railroad! Only use automated phone system. If it attempts to transfer you to a live person please hang up. The railcar information we are provided by is given as a courtesy and if we call live personnel we may lose the access and ability to track.

5. Enter the numbers then press #. It wasn't taking my voice prompts but typing worked.

Please let me know if there are any others and I'll add. That way it'll all be in one place!

Well mine has shipped by rail, Started with CSX but belive it will change to UP Maybe. Not sure how to track that part
