The CSX works great! Thanks for the info.

Only thing I can add is that the car initials may be more than two letters. The rail car mine is on has 4 letters followed by the number. Once I figured that out it tracks perfectly.

Just get the rail car info from your dealer and you are in business. After checking emails every 15 minutes or less, refreshing your Ford Pizza Tracker and B6G Tracker until your mouse is worn out or you get your shipped email, it will be the last opportunity for you to neurotically check something every hour or less until your Bronco arrives.

But wait...there's more! You can add tracking the truck to take it from the rail yard to your dealer. This one has been hard to on me, as mine has been 2 hrs away for a week now just waiting to get loaded on a truck.

For all of you that are waiting on your Bronco being built and want to track it.

Here are some good links…

Required Reading: Bronco Build Process - Window Sticker, Blend Date, Production Rotation Number, Built & Shipped Emails, Delivery Date Estimates & More
https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...ed-emails-delivery-date-estimates-more.24987/

Bronco6G Tracker w/ window sticker lookup

To the Ford site to check on status
https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking#/

To view your Window Sticker, add your VIN at the end
https://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=

To the Ford site that populates your Modules being turned on (this lets you know it’s actually built at the factory
https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt

And lastly to see if it’s scheduled on the Convoy (Truck not Rail) to your Dealer!
https://palsapp.com

If you are going by rail, it’s more complicated…

First you will need the rail car letters and numbers. It is on the visibility report or DORA which is from the dealership. You MAY be able to get it from the SVT people but they seem often in a cranky mood and may tell you to get it from the dealer.

There are two major rail companies.

CSX is everything east of the mississippi
UP is everything west of the mississippi

But they all start out on CSX so once they have it in their system they will follow it all the way.

So, how do you track your truck on a railcar?

First and most important. Never talk to live personnel at the railroad! Only use automated phone system. If it attempts to transfer you to a live person please hang up. The railcar information we are provided by is given as a courtesy and if we call live personnel we may lose the access and ability to track.

CSX
1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt.
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is)
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report.

Union Pacific
1. Call UP at 1 800 877-5123 1 800 877-5123
2. Follow phone prompts for Trace
3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example CN123456 all together
4. Listen for your update

NS Norfolk Southern
1. Call 800-635-5768
2. Press 2.
3. Press 2.
4. Enter the letters on the numeric keypad then press #. As in: TTGX will be 8849
5. Enter the numbers then press #. It wasn't taking my voice prompts but typing worked.

Please let me know if there are any others and I'll add. That way it'll all be in one place!
Or maybe make it a sticky.

Michael

Interesting update: I called the guy with the third-party shipping company that had my Bronco, and he said that Ford took my Bronco back thinking they could ship it faster, then they realized they couldn't find a driver either, so it's back with his shipping company awaiting a driver to head east from Detroit. The problem isn't all with Ford, y'all. They can build them all day, but if there is no one to haul them to the dealers, we will ALL remain horseless cowboys (and cowgirls).

Damnit Ford, again i am willing to pick up my Bronco at a moments notice if you let me. No middle man/no truck/no rail. Give me the $1000 delivery back and i'll apply it to flight/hotel/gas. Done!

The vehicles need to go through PDI at a dealership before delivery. I wouldn't take delivery if mine hadn't been looked over by a dealership.

Ford needs a program like BMW's
BMW Performance Driving School | Pick Up Your New BMW (bmwperformancecenter.com)
Audi used to have a program to where you could pick up your car direct from their factory. I'm sure the PDI process was done in house versus the dealer. The Audi program looks to have died thanks to COVID protocols though.

You can do the same with Corvettes. Pretty interesting idea but I would say the buyer engagement is pretty low. I just wanted to make other Bronco geeks know that Ford isn't the only one to blame for this fiasco.

So, my Bronco arrived at the BNSF rail yard in Portland, OR last Friday (10/29). It took a week to travel from MAP to Oregon, and now it's just sat for an entire week not moving. It's, literally, 12 miles from my dealer. Is there any way I can get information about the local transport from yard to dealer?

Ford emailed me the production line pic last Tuesday, 11/2, so I thought the dealer would have it then, or Wednesday at the latest. Dealer is motivated as Ford wants sales expedited. I'm not financing it, and my dealer is ready to take my money after I inspect it. I know transportation companies are struggling. Heck, even my dealer sent an email the other day with all the positions they are recruiting. Even still, after everything we've all gone through, this final delay is just one last poke in the eye...

From my perspective that's great news on only taking a week from MAP to PDX. I'm a 11/22 build week. So, possibly provides hope to have an early December delivery/pick up. If you don't mind me asking who's your dealer?

As a fellow Oregonian, I hope MAP finds you a train faster than they could for mine! Overall, I was really happy with the rail transit time, once CSX stopped heading south and turned back north again for the handoff to BNSF.

My Bronco's been idling at the PDX rail yard for 10 days, now. Landmark Ford thought I would have received it early last week. But I'm still waiting.

I can only hope your wait is soon, very soon coming to an end! Hopefully, very soon you'll be cruising around and I'll look to see you out on the roads in mine in a bit over a month. Cheers!
