Maybe we can organize a meet up in the local section of the forum? We could do a meet and greet, grab lunch and do a little "trail" ride through the Frederick watershed afterwards! I know we have discussed meeting up and Id love to meet some more members!
I would be up for meeting at some point.

I have been lurking on the forum for a while since I didn't have a 6G yet, but I should be picking up a Heritage sometime next week and would certainly be interested as well! I am in Carroll County

@5GENIDN Been meaning to ask you, do you get alot of use out of that KC light bar? Its quite expensive and I feel like I wouldn't use it much, but I do love the way it looks. Is nearly 2k worth it though.

Not really... But I do not do a lot of night runs and when I do I am not usually in lead.... I do not turn it on if I am behind someone else. I have used it a few times but not many. What I do get a lot of use out of are the ditch lights, the rear spreader lights and the rock lights though... But again only when I am running at night and that is not all that often... BUT the few times I have used that bar... It really lights everything up.

What year is your Heritage and what symptoms did you suffer that caused you to have them check it out?
2023 Heratige 2.7
Cam phasers went out at 9k, started with a tick then sounded like a 5.9 Cummins diesel

engine pulled and phasers replaced. Was running great.

recently I noticed a very rare surge, like a drop in RPMs that was so brief I barely noticed.

before failure the engine developed a tick, not quite a knock but sounded more top end but different from the phaser failing. Everything looked good and ran fine, no DTC’s or other symptoms.

did a 150 mile round trip, parked for 30 mins. Started up like normal then died, like a long compression diesel that tried to keep running after shut down then died. After that still no DTC and crank but no start.

All maintenance done to ford specs (15%) early, and all ford parts and fluids.

mind you after the phaser replacement I had to take it in as FDU bolts were not put in properly and were bouncing around on the skid plate.

correlation is not causation but still a concern.

Well, though it's definitely not something that anyone wants to have happen, at least it happened while still under warranty and you're getting a brand new engine. Sorry though you had to go through all of that.

That's awesome, @Lewisj41 is from this area too! We should do a Heritage and Heritage appreciation meet sometime!
I’m in the same office with you guys. I sit two cubicles from the right of the water fountain. 😊

14k miles and new engine on its way. Maybe this one will last longer than the original.
Ugh. That sucks. I just got my Heritage back from a 33 day stint at the dealership. They had to replace the 5th and 6th gear synchros in my manual transmission. There's a TSB for the grinding noise. Supposedly, a bunch of bolts snapped off when they were trying to remove the drive shaft and had to be drilled out. They also claimed that the old synchros were seized to the input shaft and had to be pressed out. I have a feeling my Granger extended warranty will end up being a very wise investment.

What was your build date?
