I think you nailed it. There was a Sport, 2 door and a 4 door. Looks like the same set up here. Race bronco re-reveal!

is ford missing the mark on this stuff?

rally is not a big american sport , and i dunno if an SUV could handle it without flipping all the time.

more importantly the whole "Desert runner/fast going off road car" is a VERY niche thing in america

seeing as there is only a small area of the united states where recreation of this type can take place

To be fair to Ford… any motorsport that isn’t NASCAR, NHRA, IndyCar, or Monster Jam is kind of a niche thing in America.

i’m sure if you asked the average person on the street what Ultra4 or King of the Hammers is they would have no idea. And most Americans’ exposure to rally is probably either “oh yeah played a video game like that” or “ah I saw this on X-Games once”.
