Looking for some more visibility and thoughts

Truck is 3 weeks old. Go figure, going to vote, and he runs into me at 45 diagonal into the front fender/tire/modular bumper. Fender is misaligned, curious what people think will be the overall damage on this (I have $500 deductible). Pictures below. Passenger is not damaged but here for perspective vs drivers side. also pushed in the grill after the picture was taken from the top.

Do you guys think this alignment on the fender can be fixed, no paint damage or dents. Go through insurance (should be comprehensive) or it can be fixed for less than my deductible or close to it.

Deer lost.

I would go to a body shop and get a quote on re-aligning the fender and price the parts. Weigh your options from there. I would spend a little out of pocket above your deductible to keep from turning it in. That’s me.

Also keep in mind that many body shops will waive the deductible to get your business.

I'll be heading there soon to ask.

I agree. Save the claim for something big. I'd be willing to come out of pocket $1500 before filing the claim. Especially if you switched to a new company when you got the Bronco.

Sorry to hear that you've only had it a few weeks.

I think it would be more than 500 bucks (pun intended) in damages but it's probably better to pay a little more out of pocket than to have your insurance spike your rate for the next 5 years

I think that is going to be a couple thousand. I'd just let the insurance company take care of it. That's what we have insurance for....If you don't fix it your Bronco will be worth much less than that.

and next time...You're supposed to hit the beer not the deer.

Would a claim cause diminished value with it going on record for repairs? Not sure how that works in this case.

Agree. Premiums are skyrocketing even without claims. I'm paying about 3k out of pocket to fix my flop because I know insurance will get me for at least 5x that much over time.

Looking At the photos……..I suggest popping the hood and loosen the bolts holding the fender, ( look for other bolt on points as well)then see if you can simply readjust the panel. Impact simply shifted the panels. The piece of bumper plastic that is cracked……replace or simply move on. Good luck.
