Holister hills is great. Used to ride dirtbikes there. steep but fun.

fyi, you left the bay when you left Gilroy since Holister's down in San Benito. Thankfully the bay has an end even if Stockton is becoming a bedroom community

Love those wheels! Thanks for posting.

I didn't condescend or put you down I just politely pointed out an inaccuracy in geography.

That shouldn't upset you and wasn't meant to.

You're incorrect and I respect you so I'd like to help you be right.

You assumed I don’t know where the Bay Area ends. I never said Holister was in the Bay Area I said I met up with a Bay Area 4x4 club.

You weren’t condescending or putting me down you were explaining something I already know and telling me I don’t know something and are incorrect.

Well then everything's great. I misunderstood and your geography is correct.

Pismo is a bit more of a drive but there's some good Wheeling to be had down there too.

My 2D badlands and my friends met up with a local 4x4 club in the Bay Area at the end of February. I have taken my vehicle on a number of forest roads as a shake down for myself and the vehicle. This was a solid step up from that to gain a lot of confidence in the bronco and my ability’s as a driver.

It was a cold drive Saturday morning as we made our way from Fremont to the in n out parking lot in Gilroy. I took the roof rack and top off for the ride so it was pretty chilly but not bad with the mesh bimini top. Gloves, beanie, jacket, and seat warmers on medium and we were fine.

I didn’t change any drive modes and left it in normal the entire day. Activating what I needed to using the dash buttons made every obstacle look easy. My buddy’s ranger did amazing the entire day but had some steering and shock issues and is being fixed now.

Here is a video from the day.

Looks like a great time! I've got a free day this weekend but I'd be going by myself. Are there any solo friendly trails up there or trails you'd recommend avoiding as a solo, I hear some of the trails are gnarly.
