Hood Deflector - Aeroskin or Aeroskin II

After around eleventy billion rock chips in the last year and clearing out most of the bugs from our local highways I'm ready to buy a hood deflector.

Anyone have experience with or know the pros\cons between the "Aeroskin" and the "Aeroskin II"?

I bought the aeroskin II. It is great and am very happy with it. No problems with it.

1 has no point. It's flat as the hood, and was installed in error by my dealer. Got two chip hits the next two days! Fortunately, I had Clear ______ installed first.

Then got the proper II installed...haven't had a hit since. Really. Figured it would keep rain/bugs up high, but it doesn't do that.

Get the II.

I'm not a fan of the textured black for the hood deflector, so I went with the original Aeroskin.

*edit* FWIW, I also have the corner protectors, but they were installed by my dealer before I ever saw it lol (and I don't hate them enough to remove them)

There are many different versions of number 2. They are all almost identical. I bought another brand. Exactly the same.

Just got my Aeroskin II installed. Saw it on a few different broncos and liked the look and function. Simple easy installation.

I still think the lip on v2 is rather symbolic and hope that @Mabett can come with a variant with like a lip 1-2 in at 45 degree.
For now, I got the v2 and plan to spray it over in the body color (CG)

Follow-up question for those with the II... do you also have the corner protectors?

I have the AS2 with corners. At first I didn’t like it, but the corners have really grown on me. I think they look pretty slick.

I ordered the I, don’t like the look of the bump on the II. I just want to prevent chips on the front of the hood.
Of course wouldn’t have stopped the deer I hit last night.
