So lately I have been thinking about doing the old school hood pins on my WT. I’ve done some searching but can’t seem to find any good pic or install info. Please share any pics or info you got?

thanks Steve

Haven't seen anyone do it yet but search photos of the R and DR racers, both of them have hood pins

This bar has a pre drilled hole. Open it up till you can get the mount in it. Duplicate the drivers side. Lines up perfect with the stock lines. My carbon hood is the same as the oem at that location. I did end up putting rivet nuts in the holes. Then just screwed the pins into that. If you don’t do that, it’s just a nut top and bottom to get the height right and secure them.

Glad I did a search before starting a thread 😉. I’ve noticed at highway speeds (75+) my hood starts to shimmy a little too much for my comfort. My thoughts were confirmed by last night my wife asking if my hood was latched. Haven’t had the hood light come on yet. The hood of this vehicle shimmies more than any vehicle I’ve owned. Was thinking about getting these Quick-Latch Hood Pin Kit Low Profile Series QL-38 Black.

Adjust the rubber stoppers (adjacent to the hood pins in the photo above) so they just barely touch the underside of the hood when closed and your flutter will be resolved.
