Well, at least the person owned it.People suck - period
Lack of common sense, no forethought and this weird egocentric idea that it's your world to do what you like.
How about respect, what happened to that.
LOLcontext is necessary.
LOL
How about Tread lightly, respect and don't destroy the land.. This is just another example of an irresponsible off-roader who has no respect for the land. It's also a reason why trails are being restricted and shut down.. Also, while on the subject of not respecting the land, how about the slobs who leave trash everywhere on the trial and at dispersed camp sites.
It's an issue when people defend and say 'context is necessary' or my favorite so far: 'You've never made mistakes' when an irresponsible off-roader damages land and a landmark.
Satire? Hard to tell these days.. If it's not satire then PLEASE take a tread lightly course..True "Respect the land, don't destroy it" would mean nobody ever offroads, ever. We harm trees and shrubbery to make paths for our vehicles.
Holy F, re-read my post. No defense was made. I added context to the headline as most people won't read the article. I'm all for a good internet pissing contest but go pick a fight elsewhere. It's an issue when people defend and say 'context is necessary' when an irresponsible off-roader damages land and a landmark.
There is no additional context needed. It was an irresponsible off-roader who caused unnecessary damage.
Context won't be needed when they shut down and restrict more trails because of irresponsible off-roaders.
I agree with @BlueBronco, it's not all black and white. When I saw the headline I pictured a stone or earth structure that was ruined and lost forever. Not exactly the case. Still sucks all around of course. It's an issue when people defend and say 'context is necessary' or my favorite so far: 'You've never made mistakes' when an irresponsible off-roader damages land and a landmark.

Historic landmarks, and if we should be allowed to destroy them, are now judged by their size and stability?I agree with @BlueBronco, it's not all black and white.
