Bronco wave needs to be unique like the Shocker (hand gesture)
If we have to have a Bronco wave, I was thinking of replicating a kicking Bronco using your peace-sign fingers, shooting hooves out to the side twice instead of up in the air once....

As someone who DD a f150, when I get into my jeep 9 out of 10 times I forget Im driving my jeep and forget to wave. It can also get annoying after awhile in heavily jeep populated areas.

then you have my wife who will throw out the biggest wave to jeeps since shes not accustomed to it. I even had to remind her one time that she wasnt even driving and was the passenger so no need to wave lol.

She does wave in her DD to fellow GC trailhawk owners.

The Bronco will be her’s so I figure she’ll be a waver??

What's worse than waving will be if dudes start trying to talk to about your car at gas stations
I love the fact that almost every time I drive my EB I get a comment, thumbs up, or some token of appreciation. They are unique enough to be appreciated, and I like that. What I won't miss is the past three years of, "Hey, did you hear they were coming out with a new one?".... Uh, yea, once or twice.

Jeepers wave at me all the time when I'm in my early Bronco.
They probably aren't quite sure what they are looking at.

Hahaha. I get that with my dog. I have a Shiba Inu. People have stopped and said “that’s half fox” I say “no it’s actually the smallest Japanese breed”. What I get is “no that definitely has fox or coyote in him”.

Ok sir... maybe I should go home and throw away my AKC breeder paperwork.

You get those or if you are on a motorcycle “I used to ride a crotch rocket but I couldn’t trust myself on that thing”. That translates to “I rode on the back of my friends ninja once and was scared for my life and could never muster the courage to ride myself”.

Hahaha, I was born and raised in Detroit (coincidentally because my grandfather imigrated here from Italy and worked at Ford all his life!) but I don't remember flipping people off on the Lodge! LOL Damn, missed opportunities when I was driving an '82 Lincoln Mk.VI throughout high-school!
I remember the first time arriving at a Ford plant in a work truck Toyota...they made us park at the gate and walk a half mile to the plant. LOL!

I'm going to do the cultural appropriation thing and do the Jeep Wave! We'll find out who are the Karen Jeepers in the Jeep Community!

Now I'm getting ready to have my Pizza Special with Pineapple.

I will wave at both, my grandpa told me that’s just what we do in Texas. I always try and acknowledge LEOs too, they put up with so much crap figure they need to know some are on their side.
ACKNOWLEDGE LEOs...AMEN BROTHER!!

Please take this post & poll with as a semi-sarcastic/light-hearted grain of salt! Just having some automotive-sociological fun!

P. S. I did search for 'Jeep Wave' in the forum before posting this! But apparently I didn't come across the other 'Bronco Wave' posts and polls that were already out there... I do apologize.

First, there's nothing wrong with the cameraderie formed by the shared enthusiasm of a particular brand or vehicle model.

I actually was a 'waver' for the 4 years I had my Rubicon, and would get upset when other jeepers didn't wave back. I always had motorcycles too, where an outstretched hand for any oncoming two-wheeler is just about mandatory here in Arizona.

The Jeep Wrangler and the 2021 Ford Bronco will no doubt be pitted against one another in every test possible, in every magazine and YouTube channel. They will share a mostly identical fan base, and as everyone can admit, the competition between the two will be epic and yet beneficial to the consumer.

With all of the similarities between these two vehicles and their respective fan bases (I've even seen some Jeep guys here buying Broncos to run along side their Wranglers), do you think the 'Jeep wave' is indeed a 'Jeep thang', or do you believe the wave will naturally migrate to Bronco owners as well? Will Jeep drivers wave to Bronco drivers and vice-versa? Will cats and dogs start living together?

I know it might seem like a silly thing to contemplate, and of course anyone is free to ignore other wavers or to happily Forest Gump wave at anyone they like. But with this Bronco purchase, I'd personally like to (for once) avoid the 'wave guilt/wave obligation' that inherently comes with Jeep ownership.

What do you guys think? Do you want to petition the Jeep community to let Bronco owners into the wave club? Or are you more likely to flip off an oncoming Jeep when they dare misidentify your Bronco's beautiful and stylish front grill for a 7 slot? Or, would you push for a pre-ordaned mandate, to which Bronco owners shall here forth not be subjected to any required waving etiquette nonsense either expressed or implied?

Again just having fun all! This is what happens when you're forced to wait 11 months for your new vehicle adventure to begin...
I’m not usually the initiator but will respond with one of the following when appropriate.

When I drive my girlfriends Jeep, she constantly points out other Jeep drivers waving as they pass. I rarely wave, because I’m normally not paying any attention to what’s coming the other direction.

Why? I don't mind talking about my car. When I first got my Flex (when they were brand new), I'd have all sorts of people ask me questions about it especially at gas stations. I was happy to answer/talk about it.

To follow up on my earlier post, Im sure the male bronco owners will enjoy receiving a wave from my wife in her 4dr CG Badsquatch as she passes by. Let’s just hope the male bronco owner doesn't take it as she’s flirting with him lol.
