I've seen a ton of complaints on here that the Sasquatch tires seem to pick up and throw rocks quite a bit. My question for anyone who got a non-SAS Badlands with the AT tires...do those throw rocks around nearly as much or is that mainly a sasquatch thing? Given the relatively limited mudflap options it seems like they're almost mandatory on SAS, but haven't heard anything yet on non-SAS BL.

Thatā€™s what I was hoping to hear, at least I can stop worrying so much about the lack of mudflaps that donā€™t cost $400.

Only 331 miles on mine, but in snow, slush and junk on the road so far there is way less road spray than I would have thought.
I have more dirt/junk on the top of the back bumper than I thought possible, but the doors don't show huge rooster tails.

I think Ill pass on the mud flaps for now.

The KO2 is a great overall tire. I haven't seen many issues with rock throwing. More often than not I've had rocks get caught up in the tread of my KO2's.

I know, I know, I can cut a hole in the front ford flap to accommodate the rock rails, but there are so many fun mods that I want to do that I don't feel like spending the time on that if I can avoid it.

So we have nearly 13,000 miles on our non-SAS Badlands with many of those on dirt roads. I put Xpel PPF on most of the vehicle and also put the short mud flaps on the front. I'm glad I did both both because I can tell from the PPF on the lower doors that there have been a significant amount of impacts from small rocks. However, having said that, I don't believe the KO2s throw nearly as many rocks as the SAS Goodyears do. Still, if it were me, I would take measures to protect the bottom portion of the doors.

2-door non-SAS Badlands. It definitely throws rocks from time to time. It sounds like it hits the rock rails though. To be honest, I have not looked too hard for any chips or anything. I'd rather not know at this point.

Gotcha.

I did drive for 2 hrs a couple of nights ago in a big snowstorm with slush, sanded roads and all the rest of the goop involved. Besides a small amount of snow on ā€œthe spotā€ on the front rear quarter which can prevent you from opening the rear doors, the rest of the crap was mostly kept off the truck.

Evidence in the pics. The garage floor was clean before the crap melted off the wheel wells and underside.

Iā€™ve done some driving pre-mud flaps and can tell you they make a big difference on the amount of spray the sides of your Bronco get, it thatā€™s of value to you.
