I am curious if those foam cannons / electric pressure washer is worth it? I don't have one now but am considering getting one. would like some opinion / thoughts.
Bronco is the first new vehicle I have had in a long time and it renewed my interest in car care. I have watched tons of youtube videos and it has been enjoyable. Get a $89 ryobi power washer and a $20 foam cannon on Amazon. For a hundred bucks you are in business. I liked it so much I made some upgrades...
You can spend hours and lots of $ on products. Don't over think it.

Most car wash soaps work fine in a foam cannon. There is a youtuber called "Pan the Organizer" and he has lots of great videos.

I like to wash mine at the neighborhood car wash. I like washing it by hand, but my neighbor is not a fan of us washing it at home (we share a common drive). My husband has a membership to the local touch-free car wash for his car. It is WAY cheaper for that membership than what we were paying for everyday washing.

After using a clay bar and waxing, I applied some graphene coating (which is applied like a wax). It's nano-graphite coating that is less permanent and easier to apply than ceramic coatings.

This graphene has been my best investment yet. All I have to do is spray the body with a garden hose whenever a little dirty, and the crud falls right off.

I still plan to hand wash every few weeks to get it perfect, and get the plastics clean. I do hit the touch-less wash every couple weeks just for the undercarriage spray.

Hand wash at home. With the soft top, you don’t want to be taking it through car washes (touchless or not) or be using a foam cannon at home. Unless you want it to be gray within a year ;)

So far just hand wash, but I will also go to a car wash and use the wand when needed.

I use the 7 bucket method. One bucket for each tire/wheel, one for the vehicle, and one full of ice for the beer. Use a foam howitzer, rinse with a fire hose shooting distilled water, then 10 blonde virgins hand dry it with corinthian leather chamois.

We have two seasons - winter for 9 months or bug season for 3 months.

1, in the winter.
2, in bug season as needed. Pretty much daily cleaning the windshield with Windex, especially after highway use.
