How Bronco Badlands (Race Red) Looks With a Painted Grille

For my (future) CO Badlands, I want the white hard top, if it’s ever available. I’d probably paint the grill to match at that time, and get body color fender flares, mirror caps, and door handles. I’d stick with one color for the lettering. Wondering how much forum hate I’ll get for that combination.

I had a grill I painted on a previous car and it looked great after I sanded Primed and painted.
It looks like garbage now due to road debris bugs and rocks.

Do you have a break down on how you prepped this and plan on protecting it with different coats? Would love to get any info covering this since there will probably a lot of people doing it.

It is not a type R so not sure why it would be played off like that. I would have tried to match the grill to the fenders unless later on you are looking to get white/grey FF and Top. I like the steps though (kind of).

Yeah, the R in Bronco is red huh? Took me a minute, I'm partially color blind. But not regular blind. Appreciate the post. Not my cup of tea. But keep modding.

I understand the look is to reflect the "Type R" Bronco. The Grey primer color was on the sides of the type "R" with the front grill opened. Does it work in this rendering? Further detailing would have to be made to the vehicle to give it more "R" presence.

Anyone remember in the first bronco reveal commercial/ad how they had the red 2 door with the white top? that was pretty bad ass. give it body colored mirrors, fender flares, and a white grille and it would be primo

Yeah...
You need a matching color somewhere else on the vehicle, preferably at least one piece that color on each side.

Obviously, the top, handles, and fender flares are an option. Could get away with even painting the tube steps to match. Or even some matching decals.

But it needs something else, or it just looks like you stole a grille from some other Bronco and slapped it on there.
