I have not seen any Bronco mounting kits for a Hi Lift jack - lots for Jeeps.

What are your thoughts on where and how to mount a jack?

Which length jack do you plan to carry? They come in 35", 48" & 60" lengths.

I have given up on a winch. I see a jack as a good solution.

I have been looking into this as well. I am guessing maybe mount to the modular bumper, but would want to look at mounting holes and options.

I don't expect to get my 2 door until next Spring or early next Summer, so I have time to figure it out.

I wonder if it will fit under the rear seat of the 4 door? Secured of course. But its a thought.
If so, it will likely interfere with the seats folding forward. I seem to recall the seat bottoms sliding forward and down to make room for the back but I wouldn't mind a correction if I'm wrong.

So my guess is it would be an either/or situation if its possible at all.

Yeah if the seats are folded then you got more room in the back. Sounds good to me.

Will be mounting the Hi-Lift outside the vehicle, probably on the rear bumper. Will see what the ARB rear bumper looks like when it shows up.

I gave up on the shorter Hi-Lift jack lengths and have gone to the 60" model.

It's longer, so harder to store inside, but to me the benefits outweigh the storage problem.

The longer length allows you to get a better hold of it when you are jacking, giving you more support. It also gives you a longer track to winch along if you are using your jack to winch, so less rope/chain resets while winching.

I reached out to Hi-Lift a while back & they are working on mounts but I intend to use the trail Trak system that is for the JLU if they don't have something similar out for the Bronco.

That is a nice system. I hope that do bring that to the Bronco.

I've asked them to ;) but it will still work. You just won't have a Bronco Specific template when drilling your holes & will just have to measure it out.

If I decide to go with a Hi Lift jack I will carry mine on top of my Yakima platform but, I understand this may not be an option for everyone.

I’m pretty sure only the 36” will fit in the back of the Bronco that way. Mine JUST fits in the back of the cargo space horizontally. I bought the 42” first and returned it…cargo space is precious. I’ll take some measurements tonight.

it should fit no problem as the Bronco is wider. Also note they moved the clamp & removed the foot of the jack, but measure all the same please ;)
