Once you go to stone road - you will then get new windshields every week
Yeah, well there are only 4 houses on the 1.5 mile road, so not thinking that'll be a problem. I am glad I got running boards, I hear the rocks bouncing off of them instead of my paint...

I love this. I use a foam cannon on a garden hose because dragging out the pressure washer is a PITA for every wash.
I was in that boat as well. I had one water supply for the PW, one garden hose, and a PW hose, plus buckets and everything else.
Now one hose does it all. Super flexible with a swivel end and no headaches.

Can the soft top hold up to a touchless wash without leaking?

Hand wash only because of the soft top. Will likely use the pay and spray in the winter to knock down the salt on the underbody.

@SuperFord What pressure washer do you use? I’m looking for recommendations on an electric PW to use with a foam gun.

Castro super clean on the tires and wheel wells, 2 coats of foam, power wash off (rotary tip), master blaster blow dry, then cerama detail spray if any tiny water spots dried before I blew them off. I try to minimize how many rags touch the paint.

Tried the drive thru car wash once bcuz I have unlimited washes. Way too many areas get missed when you have light bars and a 37" spare tire in the back.

After having my Bronco for awhile w/ full PPF and ceramic coating, I've settled on the following:

When dirty:
When dusty:
After-wash detailing:
Wheels, tires, interior, exterior, etc.:
I've also learned that cleaning the wheel wells and undercarriage is much easier under full articulation. :p

Question about the CARPRO PERL. Does is keep the matte finish of the bumpers and fenders? I'm still looking for a product that doesn't give it a wet/shine look.

@broncoGIRL21 I've never put it on the bumper since mine is steel, but when diluted for external plastics (1:3) it's not shiny or wet looking.

On the other hand, if you didn't dilute it at all or went with a 1:1 dilution like what is recommended for tires, it would probably shine a little more. All depends on what you're after.

Former/recovering detail nerd... I have a pretty unique routine, I run it through a TOUCHLESS washer then dry it with Adams or Ammo NYC or whatever good stuff is on sale :) I also use quality microfibers (TRC) that are CLEAN AND FREE OF GRIT! I will pressure wash/foam bath first if it is really dirty, I try to get bugs off asap, I use detail spray and a pressure washer. I wipe down inside the door jambs tailgate etc. Detailing became like golf, takes too much of my precious free time away! My exterior routine takes 20-30 min TOPS. I vacuum it whenever it gets dirty or hit it with the blower (preferred).

A word of caution on the touchless car washes (at least my local one). I started using it regularly to mitigate road salt, and noticed its dulling the finish on my pillar ditch lights. The Baja Design website says high pH (Sodium Hydroxide) will dull the coatings. They typically bump the pH up to facilitate cleaning without contact. I'll be working on restoring the finish back once it warms up a bit here....
