Hello,

I am wondering how important the scope of a brand is to you. Specifically, a lot of the Jeep guys hold brands that ONLY make Jeep parts in a higher regard than those that make parts for various different brands. For example, Teraflex and Metalcloak ONLY make Jeep Wrangler parts. RPG makes only Ford parts. Companies like Camburg only make high end suspension parts, but make them for various applications. Companies like Icon and Fabtech make parts of all kinds for all kinds of vehicles and brands. What is important to you?

The reason I ask is because I know I want some big tires on my Bronco, but I am not sure who I am going to be looking to for the best parts.

Thanks!

My two cents is that if you cant find one part from a company that only maked "X" brand parts that will work on your "Y" brand anything, then you are doing the hobby wrong. Every company has a specialty but that doesnt mean it has to be speacialized!

In a world where it seems harder and harder to sort through the noise to find quality stuff, I'm more than happy to support a company that makes good parts, regardless of what their core market is.

Quality is #1, and perhaps Value is #2.

Brand Loyalty is way, way down the chart because I know for damn sure they don't hold that kind of regard for me.

Thanks a bunch guys! I had always been under the impression that the most important thing was that a brand was specialized for a specific platform, but it does make sense to me that a brand can make good parts for various platforms.
