Hello All, My daughter has two toddlers in child seats and she asked how the Broncos out there doing with roominess and CLG in the rear seats? Can’t have kiddos scrunched and hot on long trips to the mountains. Anyone have experience with this?

Its going to be relative to what you are coming from. I see gladiator in your side profile. You should expect similar, if not slightly more, space in the bronco.

Thank you! The gladiator does have rear ac control in rear of console. Any idea if rear seats of Bronco will be ac comfy?

Bronco has the same AC setup as a crew cab F-150 without a center console.

Those are everywhere, so she could test one of those pretty easy.

Bronco only has floor vents for the rear seats. No real AC.

It's a big negative for me (I have kids in boosters that will likely be miserable without them). It may be a deal breaker.

Watch this YouTube video as it seems the air conditioner works well and better than Ford trucks

Same Youtuber answered the roominess question.

Same boat. 3 yr old....but now a baby due in Feb....and Bronco potentially being delayed into the snowy months (and maybe even after the baby is due)....I fall in the 'assigned build date, non-FE with MIC top' group....I stopped asking myself the question about how good the bronco could be at family duty, and started getting quotes on an X5 and GLE.

Between the timing of all of this, I dont really have a choice but to demote the Bronco to the 'toy' within my stable. I thought it would take a couple years for that to happen, but apparently, it's going to happen before I even take delivery. X5 or GLE will be here first.

I've heard multiple times in reviews that the AC is really powerful and the back occupants should be fine.

It IS really powerful. It blows hard AF.

But sitting in the back seat, you'll still be warm. Or the front people will be freezing by the time you're comfortable. I tested this (unscientifically) in a two door hard top.

Kids aren't as sensitive as adults in this area though, so I don't know if my kids would be okay with it.

My dad used to take me on fishing trips in his C4 Corvette. Him in the driver's seat, rods in the passenger seat, me in the rear hatch. I lived to tell the tale. I think they'll be fine.

I grew up without AC in cars, or our houses half the time for that matter.

Guess I should make my kids suffer and sweat. Character building or some shit.

At this price point, we're being asked to give up all sorts of creature comforts for the off-road capability and coolness of the Bronco. Which I'm fine with. I'm on board. I get it. I'm not asking for rear foot massagers or a 40" drop down touch screen for the dog...I'm asking to not give my kids back sweat while I have frosty eyebrows. Hell, the kids can't even have an Icee to keep them cool back there because Ford thinks they didn't need cup holders in the second row of a four door Bronco. Unless you get leather. Because THAT makes sense. Oh. Or a two door. They get cup holders lol.

At least you were inside the car. Open bed of the truck for us as kids.
