How long before you let someone else drive your Bronco?

The sooner my wife drives it and gets acclimated the better. We will both drive the broncos at Moab when we go. We each have cars that as individuals we drive separately for the most part but they are both community property and there is no such thing as "letting" the other drive them. We both drive them.

@Seanette asked me, based on this thread, and I replied that I might even let her drive it for part of the trip home from the dealer. She says she'd prefer to wait 'til we're safely away from the Bay Area. Bay area traffic scares her.

One thing that really stood out to me, when I test drove a Bronco, was how unscary Bay Area traffic was, while driving it, compared to driving our 2016 Dodge Dart in the same traffic.

I put 3 months because it will happen when we go to the United By Bronco event in Hurricane, UT in March of 2022. There was no 6 months option.

anyone who i know that is proficient with driving a manual would be okay with me. its not a hellcat and i wont have to worry if they are going to kill someone or themselves.

i want to add, i never test drove any bronco, no one test drove our bronco when we went to san diego to pick it up. my daughter drove it home and i didn't drive it until the next evening after i had my wife drive it to see if she can drive the manual again. i bought this as a second off road vehicle for anyone in my family to use. i feel this is a safer vehicle to make runs with and would loan this out before i loan out the 4dr rubicon i we have.

My list of allowed test drivers will be few. The rig is spec’d exactly as I like and will be modded accordingly.

My dealership is two hours away and my wife wasn't able to take me down to pick up my Bronco. My dad volunteered to make the drive and when we got there I tossed him the keys and he was the first one to drive it during the test drive before I drove it and paid for it.

Just let my sister and her husband drive it because she wants one. I was in the vehicle with them. They loved it, but the cargo area may not be big enough for their business needs.

My wife? She won't drive it. I've offered repeatedly since day 1 (October 15). She doesn't want to see my head explode if she breaks something.

With a manual it's a question of who I know that is capable of driving it. Pretty much limits me to parents and brothers, one of whom is on the other side of the country.

Everyone in the house drove it the first weekend. Wife, college student, and 15year old. I did get to drive it off the lot.
