Supprised none has mentioned they haven’t even crash test these things yet don’t they need a crash test rating before they can ship to dealer this could cause a longer wait lol

Hopefully 2-4 weeks. They negotiated with the carrier contractor to do partial loads which should expedite deliveries to the dealers.
I certainly hope that's the case.

Yeah, OKTB has not been given yet, so we'll see when that happens.

The better question is how long to expect if you live in Hawaii!!?? 😭
My salesperson sold a Bronco to a friend in Hawaii. I asked her what shipping will cost and she didn't know so we looked it up. No matter where a vehicle is shipped in the USA the teamsters get $1695, some only go right across the street from MAP and still $1695 but it arrives a few days after being built, Hawaii will be a slow boat once it gets to CA.

Yup its one average price no matter the distance. Im currently living in Michigan but moving to Hawaii this winter. It will actually cost me more personally to ship my Bronco to Hawaii from Michigan.

I'd expect close to the same time as AK, just guessing. Mine will have had a nice boat ride from Seattle by the time I get it.
Talked to Kendall about this yesterday. He said expect 2 months, maybe a little less if we're lucky.

I saw people in another thread say that their last email said their build date was X, but their dealer said later

So curiously I contacted the dealer to see if he showed the same BUILD DATE.

he does show the same build date, but just volunteered when he expects it on the lot...

I won’t even say it, because it will be the king of all “my dealer said” posts, but it is so AMAZINGLY optimistic that I wish he didn’t say anything because I know he’s wrong.

I fully expect some shipping fiasco or delay, diesel will probably skyrocket to $15 a gallon right as the first bulk deliver is headed out or some shit.

But... of course his comment festered...

.. and I’m like...

imagine all the complaining about Ford.......

.... but all the while they‘ve actually been planning ahead....

.. and they are ready to knock dealer delivery out of the park?

I’m talking those auto trucks in IRobot that threw robots at Will Smiths R8!

anything is possible?

They don’t need to be fully crash tested by IIHS or NHTSA iirc.

They’re already certified to meet minimum federal crash standards afaik.

Yeah, I was just basing it off the normal times it takes to get Super Dutys and Transits (normally). It'll be what it is lol.

There is no "standard" for build to delivery-to-customer. Like others have said, it depends on the modes of transportation that your vehicle must take to get from plant to dealer. When I worked for a Ford dealership a customer's special order Ranger showed up 8 days after order. That is not typical.

That's not bad. I'd guess Chicago area is all truck delivery, no rail.

I'd happily let them keep them delivery costs if we could pick up from MAP!

I keep thinking how cool it would be to do something like the Vette factory tour/delivery deal.... as been suggested a million times.

The Toyota plant in Princeton gives tours. Granted, I've not gone through there but people I know have and they said it's neat. I wish the Ford plants would do the same but the decision might not be Ford's alone.
