How many personal vehicles have you ordered from factory (other than Bronco)?

Just curious! I’ve ordered none from traditional dealerships/manufacturers, but 2 direct from Tesla. All other new personal vehicles I’ve purchased have been off lots, though I’ve been known to cross state lines to get what I’m looking for.

I always believed that dealer ordered vehicles gave the upper hand to the dealer to do mark ups and additional fuckery.

Why would I ever buy what the dealer wants to stock, I order what I want.

I voted 5-9. I buy a new truck every 3 years for business and just about every one of them have been factory ordered. I have found a few on the dealers lot but I'd rather order exactly what I want. One thing I can say is the waiting is the worst part which you all can attest to.

I initially ordered the Miata, but wound up cancelling it because my dealer found the EXACT spec I ordered and had it transferred over to them. My wait time decreased from three months to three days. Funny how that worked out. It helped that it was the end of the month.

The Bronco will be my second. First was a 03 Mustang Cobra. First year of the supercharged Cobra. LOL Voided the warranty after a month or so with a bigger Kenne Bell supercharger.
