How much weight can you put on top of the front "Freedom panels" when they are bagged and stored in the back?

Anybody have any idea how much weight these guys are rated for when stored in the back of the vehicle? I have a scooter that weighs just over 100 lbs and want to know if I can set it on top of them without breaking or crushing anything on the panels.

I don't have an answer based in fact but with how difficult they are to get a hold of right now I wouldn't risk it

I won’t stack anything, not even each other, on a front panel……

All of these responses are interesting. I always stack the front panels on top of one another because that's how the storage bag is designed if you lay them flat. I also regularly put 15-25 lbs of stuff on top of them without any issue. I find it intriguing that most people responding seem to think these need to be handled like glass panels or something else similarly fragile. To each his own, I guess.

There's no way I'd risk putting a 100lb scooter on top of my panels. Flip them up and store them vertically like the bag is intended to be stored.

Is this a 4 door thing or something? In my 2-door the bag that is used to store the panels is stored vertically against the back seats, the only weight that would be applied to them would be what ever might be pressing against them in the storage area not anything stacked 'on top' of them.

Problem with the 100lb scooter is it will likely put that 100lbs on just a few small points. Likely to cause dents. The old pounds per square inch.

That 100lbs get multiplied when going over speed bumps or whatever. Maybe if you put a cushion or a folded moving blanket to dampen the shock. But a 100lbs is still a lot

Ok, then why are you even asking? Sounds like you got it all figured out.
Load away.

I personally think glass panels would be stronger. Certainly more water resistant and quieter than the cardboard crap that are the OEM marvels.

the one time i've seen the storage bag in use in a vehicle was in florida.
the owner had them strapped in VERTICALLY in the cargo area against the back seats. no load on top.
