California has a similar law. I don't really think it is enforced though. One of those things that might bite you in the ass if you get pulled over but no one is going to show up at your door on day 91 and ticket you.In Colorado you have 90 days to register your vehicle in-state. You cant legally have an out of state vehicle after that unless you have military exemption. Many other states have similar laws.
Pro bandit tip - if you are going to register your car in a new state, you don't have to pay any parking tickets associated with your old plate . . . just sayin
