So how do you un-fuck a Bronco that’s gotten a buggy, garbage software update? Dealer tells me I’m stuck with this garbage until they fix the problems in another update.
FDRS - it is the way.

I assume you can't help me, but I'll try.
How do those of us in Korea update our systems? We don't even have the option to connect to WiFi. Ford Korea seems to be completely clueless about anything Bronco...
See above - FDRS is the way.

I just got an update which made the truck unable to use bluetooth functionality, carplay, and a few other things. A soft reset resolved all issues.

Do you have the option to buy ATT " mobile hotspot " in Korea ? That might solve the problem if its available, and IF there are servers avialble to reach your country. I would call FORD themselves and ask. Ford Korea and FOrd US .

Thanks for the suggestion. When going into the connectivity settings, there's really nothing

Thanks for the suggestion. As of right now there seems to be no way to connect online. I've asked a service advisor here in Korea. He didn't know. The connectivity menu in Sync 4 is different for Korean models. There is no option to connect to wifi or cellular as you'd find in the American models. I made an appointment to have some other issues looked at next week and will see again about software updates.

I got the Backup Camera stays on recall letter. It says the software update number that fixes it. I went to my Bronco screen and checked updates, it says "up to date". But how do you confirm WHAT version you are on? I want to compare that with the recall notice update number.

Seems Ford just sent out a firmware update to prep for “more detailed updates down the road”. Lot of clicking and lights flickering during the OTA patch.

So I’m still behind, cool; sigh. But thank you for that info, wish my update told me that details…
Is there a thread or link with these for me to more easily cross reference “new” updates I get and maybe see which ones I’m still waiting for?

Screen size and I think whether or not you’ve connected a phone to your Bronco may dictate update status and frequency. Alexa updates for Androids and CarPlay updates for Apples? 🤷‍♂️

After months of slowly catching up on Ford’s Power-Up Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, I think I’m finally current. This latest one (v3.5.4) just installed a few minutes ago, and I can finally switch between split-screen and full-screen in Apple CarPlay.

This will be very helpful when using Gaia GPS off-road. 🗺

Sometimes little things like this mean a lot.
