Why Ford Sync is not always present as a shortcut on the main AA screen is a mystery that even Ford does not know the answer to.
Speaking only for myself, why on earth would you ever want to use sync?

Before the full screen update, mine only had connection problems with my phone.

Got a new phone and nothing changed.
Tried different USB cables and nothing changed.

For about a week, it would only work inconsistently over Wi-Fi/BT.
Now it's back to only working over cable.

The music and maps absolutely suck on mine. Constantly getting a black map screen and music skipping.

Sometimes it starts music where it was when shut off. Other times I need to select something.

First phone call never works.

FORD needs to get this stuff fixed.

Always changing stuff but not fixing anything.

I'd be happy if mine reverted back to what it came with.
Didn't work flawlessly but it was way better than what I have now
Mine works flawlessly…. Maybe it’s your phone/software rev.?

Once CarPlay boots, the right side of the main display is GENERALLY on Ford Navigation. One button to the ”radio” screen.

Since my post
And a few updates later, calls work but all other issues are still there.
We have used several different phones and the issues are present with all of them.
All four of our phones work fine with sync in other vehicles.

So that you can switch the audio source to radio. Or control the phone when the stupid AA freezes for the 10th time of the day.

The only time my infotainment screen worked right was when it was brand new. Since then it’s gotten worse with each update. It’s 50/50 if my iPhone will auto connect to CarPlay when I turn on the Bronco. And I have a iPhone 14 Pro with the latest updates.

Yup, I have seen zero improvement in AA over the last year, if anything the frezes have gotten more frequent. @Ford Motor Company is blaming Google/Apple and vice versa. The customer is left holding the bag.

Fair enough, I've literally never listened to the radio in my bronco in the 3.5 years I've owned it.

And have had AA freeze so few times in that same 3.5 years that I can't recall how many times it has, definitely less than 10.
