Will a tune void the warranty or just wait until the warranty is over ?
If the dealer or manufacturer look for it and made an issue out of it, they can void your warranty (typically just for components related to the modification) Many ignore it. I will be tuning from the start. The warranty is only 36k anyways. Problems always develop at 37k! :(

I can just imagine what that would do to a tiny 1.5L engine stressed out already with a turbo. (Wear it out fast). I used to have a Chevy/Geo Metro with a tiny 1.3 L engine. :)

Well that was quick. That gives me hope they will be able to support the Bronco quickly. I will be getting a tune asap.

Well, the 2.3 from the RS / Ranger platform and the 2.7 from the F150, tuning is already out there, its a done deal.

How do you cross post? I've seen duplicate posts before I wish I could combine
I simply copied the post and pasted it at the Bronco Sport forum. Then I created a link on both forums so each post takes you back to the other, click on my links and you will see how it works.

There’s talk Ford may lock the pcm/ECM down to limit aftermarket tuners. Hopefully with tunes available for the BS this means we will have better/additional options than the FP tune (IF they even make that available for us).

I want someone to get a bone stock base 2 door, add auto+2.7 and tune the shit out of it.

That would be a hysterical sleeper.

This issue is/was all '21+ Fords are capable of OTA updates so they are locked down much tighter now with encryption and other security measures. The C7 ZR1 and C8 as well as 19+ GM trucks are having to go through the same thing. Currently the ECM has to be removed and sent to HP to be unlocked before it is able to accept being flashed through the OBDII.

I just found this article stating Ford is willing to work with the aftermarket though which is a good sign. HP Tuners is at the forefront software wise. I've had great experience with them
