This is kinda what i figured. But also thought it kinda strange for “auto”. But makes some sense. to be honest i cant really tell a difference. But ive mostly been riding with the front panels off in slightly colder weather. And auto doesnt do jack.I think of it as, "How aggressively do you want me to pursue the temperature you selected?"
"I'll get there eventually."
"Right away,sir."
and
"DO IT RIGHT MEOW!"

So the Bronco just has a 3 speed fan adjustment?Adjusting fan speed manually will turn off the Auto mode.
As others have said the three modes represent how aggressive the HVAC profile will be. 1 is more of a courtesy mode to keep things quiet, 2 will sit in the middle of quiet and circulation and 3 is for moving as much air as possible.
I’ve usually kept my Fords and Lincoln’s on 1 and have always been comfortable.
Sheesh... Okay. So are there 7 LED's somewhere to say what manual speed the fan is in? LolApologies no not at all. The fan itself is manually adjustable with 7 speeds
The auto mode has 3 settings that control how agressive the fan behaves
Ahhh... Okay. Thanks...No it’s displayed on the Sync screen when you make a change
Thanks posting this question. Just got my Bronco. Now that I know what it Js I wonder who cares? Of course the fan will run hard and then slow as it approaches desired temp. And if it didn't so what.I did a search in manual in car. Didnt find anything. Except some generic messaging.

People on phone calls in their Bronco care. If you have to hop in the car and take an important business call, having the fans blast on max can be disruptive. Having an auto option that keeps the fans muted can be helpful in this case (which is frequent for me). Thanks posting this question. Just got my Bronco. Now that I know what it Js I wonder who cares? If your phone is connected to the truck, it will automatically slow the fan speed so you can talk and hear. At least other Ford's do.People on phone calls in their Bronco care. Indeed! That's a very cool feature IMO. I found the official Ford HVAC page here. On these two topics:If your phone is connected to the truck, it will automatically slow the fan speed so you can talk and hear. At least other Ford's do.
It should also do this when hitting the voice command button but it's not the case for me...
That's very cool. I still hate fan noise, so I'm the type of customer who would keep it at 1 light.IF YOU HAVE AN ‘AUTO 1-2-3 SYSTEM’…
You have the ability to adjust how much air flows through the vents. Use “3” if you want more air flowing around inside the cabin, “1” if you want a quieter ride, or “2” if you want something in between.
IF YOU RECEIVE OR PLACE A CALL WITH YOUR BLOWERS ON…
The blowers in your climate system will automatically lower so you can hear and be heard better. Once the call is over, your blowers will return to their normal level. If you want to exit the voice blower limiting and bring the speeds back up, press the blower up button. Voice blower limiting will also disengage if you press MAX DEFROST or MAX A/C.
