First post… Woo!

Background… I was a day two reservation holder. Wife got pregnant a few months after the reservation and I canceled due to the uncertainties ahead.

Fast forward a year and the baby is born completely healthy, but the car seat doesn’t necessarily fit in my current Tacoma. I get the green light to plop down another reservation. Woo!

Just placed my order for a BadSquatch today and can’t be more excited. I know there’s a long road ahead and hope that ordering a soft top helps the process move along a little more quickly…

FWIW the dealer said they have 500+ unfulfilled reservations and I’m the only person whose officially placed an order for a 2022 with a soft top.

I would run as fast as I could from that dealer if accurate…don’t walk, sprint…I’m talking out of breath after 30 yards type of sprint.

They didn’t say I was the only soft top. Just the first unfulfilled order converted to an official 2022 with a soft top. They have other soft tops still sitting as a 2021 order. I completely expect several of those 2021s to be converted.

Reservation date is 7/29/21. I realize there’s about 150,000 people ahead of me. I also understand that most of those have ordered the MIC hardtop and that Ford is moving more towards the traditional allocation system because they can’t yet manage a reservation system like other OEMs.

I understand it’s a marathon and not a race. I’m just excited to be entered!
