So I have a blue 4 door base w hard top that is scheduled to be built in October. I want to do a lift and run 37" tires.
The two lifts I am considering are the RC 5" lift and the Readylift 4" lift. I seem to be reading better things about the Readylift so I am leaning on towards going that route. I am thinking of doing blue wheels. I like the Black Rhino wheels, they make two that are blue - the sentinal and something else - forgot the name. I think they are only 17x9 or 17x8.5 wheels. Are those wide enough to run 37" tires? I was reading some people have 17x12 wheels? Anyway I probably will rarely go off road, doing it mainly for looks. Want to maintain decent ride quality up to 80 mph. If anyone has any experience or opinions in this area, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you all!

“Anyway I probably will rarely go off road, doing it mainly for looks. Want to maintain decent ride quality up to 80 mph.”
At least your honest……love that.
I still would stay with under a 3” lift.
Stay with a wheel offset of +18 or more.
Plus, your gonna need an axle ratio of at least 4.46-4.70 to run 37s.
Good luck! Hope your Bronco comes in on schedule!

The good thing about using the 8.5 or 9 inch rims is that it will help to prevent or eliminate curb rash on the wheels, If you put 37x12.5 inch tires on a 12 inch wide rim it will be stretched and the edge of the wheel is pretty much even with the sidewall of the tire.

37X12.50R17
Diameter : 37.0"
Width : 12.5"
Wheel : 17" x 8.5-11"
Sidewall : 10.0"

Being a base 4 door you can't get the manual so it will have 3.73 gears with the automatic. This will work but it is definitely not the best gear ratio for 37's (It will most likely be a little doggy on acceleration).

A 5" lift and 37 inch tires is also not the best combination for running 80 mph.

Just as an example these are 33x12.50 tires on 8.5 inch rims

Sorry, I do not understand why users want these SUPER (looking) off road vehicles only for looks….. They are all over Houston and we aren’t even close to any terrain requiring 4 wheel drive..

Your proposed build may result in a great off-road vehicle and will probably impress a lot of other drivers and folks at the mall. But your 37” tires and 5“ lift at 80 MPH will be a different story when you need to execute a panic stop. Unfortunately, our legal system, will support you, after all I wasn’t your fault, FORD should have designed for these mods right?

Sorry to burst your bubble but everything you mentioned doing to a base Bronco is going to have you not liking your Bronco for the lift tires you are mentioning you should have gotten the Sasquatch with your base and had the gearing needed for the tires you want.
I’ve driven a 2.3 3.73 with 35’s and it was doggy sport mode made it okay. My wife’s 2.3 4.27 gears is ok but struggles to get 15.5-16mpg. Off road low speed it’s great never felt it needed more, on road highway driving it suffers. For reference here’s a pic of mine 3 1/2” lift on 37x12.50x17’s nitto terra grappler G2

I spend nearly EVERY weekend running 750+ miles at 80 MPH (36,500 miles today in 10 months).

As others have posted, 37's at 80 MPH? I am running 33.5" tires regularly at 80 MPH with 4.27 gears, and yes, with the 2.7 it's fine... BUT it's much nicer on the 32.1" tires at 80 MPH... way quieter and way more comfortable.

Tires are going to have a major impact on your overall comfort, and certainly not all 37's are created equal, but carefully consider your choices... The Bronco on 17x9's with 33.5" tires can look pretty stout, and there isn't a mall I know that my OBX won't tackle!

This is my OBX today

I might consider putting 35's under it... but only because I have two sets of rims and tires.

Unless you are planning to really be hardcore, skip the 37's at 80 MPH, you would be better off with two sets of tires... one for wheelin' and one for the highway.

Very good advice…….OP should follow it.
I’ve done the same.

37” with a 5” lift you will definitely struggle to maintain 80mph depending on the wind or incline. That’s the set up I run but with 4.7 gears and don’t drive that fast. The base will have even a harder time with its 3.73 gears.

if you don't go off road much, I would suggest skipping on 37's. 35's feel big on my Badlands Bronco with a 2-2.5 inch lift from new coilover shocks. I had 37's on my F150 Raptor and you notice a floaty type difference at highway speed with the 37's. Trade off is not worth it if you don't go off road much. 35's look large in-person on this vehicle. You will love they way the Bronco rides.
