I drove to the Lagrange GA dealer with the 2 door outer banks mentioned in another thread. I looked at the roof for 10 minutes. I found a scratch, a pinhole of missing color and several areas that looked like the material was short shot in the mold or stuck to the mold. The roof fit was good. Maybe the “bad roofs” leak like a sieve or whistle Dixie at 55 mph but what I saw could be corrected easily.

BTW the 2 door Sasquatch is night and day to a 4 door non Sasquatch. The 2 door is a real bronco.

Judging by the photos I would say that is a composite - sandwiched fiberglass matting with a resin binder...

The fact that you can see the layers and the edges are delaminating (or appears to be) is uh.. thats bad, man. a few freeze/thaw cycles and you cold weather folk are in trouble.. eesh.

This.. oof.

One other item that was not good - the good fit. Big gap on the right front and high. Both sides of the hood were low at the cowl and high at the front, might be designed that way but the right side was still high and wide vs the left side.

It’s a three piece roof. The biggest issue is getting the seam right. It’s getting better, but……

This is an early reject roof.
