I bet they had the exact same issue with the 4 door roofs 6 months ago. They resolved these issues first on the 4 door because that's where the bulk of the sales are.
They will get this right but its still a piss-off because now we're half way thru 2021 and still have issues.

Or.... Theyre fucked all around which is why they want people to go with the soft tops.

what I saw could be corrected easily.

BTW the 2 door Sasquatch is night and day to a 4 door non Sasquatch. The 2 door is a real bronco.
That cannot be "corrected easily". I would not want that hot garbage. Ford should not have let that leave the factory IMO.

As for what is a "real" Bronco or not, if you want to really get into that argument, this is a real Bronco. Back in my day, the only thing electronic on it is the fan switch and it will make your spine pop out of your back if you hit a bump, and it only has three speeds - but we LIKE it, we LOVE it.

I drove to the Lagrange GA dealer with the 2 door outer banks mentioned in another thread. I looked at the roof for 10 minutes. I found a scratch, a pinhole of missing color and several areas that looked like the material was short shot in the mold or stuck to the mold. The roof fit was good. Maybe the “bad roofs” leak like a sieve or whistle Dixie at 55 mph but what I saw could be corrected easily.

BTW the 2 door Sasquatch is night and day to a 4 door non Sasquatch. The 2 door is a real bronco.

Weird, I talked to a couple who had a 1st Gen this weekend, and they said only 1st gens were "real" Broncos. I guess that's why carpal tunnel is so widespread - everybody's a chest thumper.

Odd question but if you get one of these and attempt to do some sort of fixing, whether it be sealing the edges or whatever, would that void the warranty and allow Ford to duck around replacing it down the road?

I'm especially concerned because I imagine at some point there's going to be roof racks that require you to drill into the top. Once you drill into the top does that void the warranty even though the problem is with delamination?

Not by us, and we shouldn't have to. I believe he's saying it's an easy correction during manufacturing.

Although if they knock about 3k off the price and send me one of those I'd give it a go.

that would be unacceptable and Ford and Webasto know it. I'm happy I switched to soft top (and don't give a flying flamingo about the plastic windows being wavy) and personally hope for a MIC in back, soft top in front solution from either Ford or aftermarket down the road. I like the looks of the MIC top and have no doubt that none of you will get a thing like this in the photos, so all this outrage is wasted time and energy.

It's labeled a "bad top" for a reason or two...

Yikes, maybe it's a blessing that my 2-door day 1 reservation isn't being built yet haha

Anyone else developing a serious fear of a year 1 vehicle being beyond plagued with design and quality issues?
Don't wander around the cutting edge without a good supply of bandaids.
