Honestly, the bronco may not be for me right away either. Got a few more years before the oldest is out of the house. 3 kids in the back seat is just asking for fights. Probably keep the wifes explorer until then. I'm probably going to get an f250 in the meantime for towing a camper. But I'll still hang out on here. Plus that will give time for aftermarket support and used prices to come down.

The main reason is practicality. I hate the look of 4D and I cannot justify spending 45k on 2 doors just to offroad.

Other reasons Ford really pissed me off with there build restrictions. I could not build my dream Bronco. Also, I really wanted someone to drive and review the car before I submit the order but it seems like this is Ford plan to avoid negative reviews.

So I bought instead Chevy Colorado ZR2.
I will still keep my eye on used Bronco in the next five years.

I made an early reservation in July. You can just search my nick name in spread sheet to find my reservation number.

All the best!

265/65R17's. Unfortunately the ZR2s can't clear 33" without at least a 1.25"
front level kit and some trimming on the fender well.
The ZR2 can run 35's with the GM leveling kit and AEV's new flares. AEV also sells their own upgrade above and beyond the ZR2 Bison with the new flares, 35's, wheels, re-geared to 4.10s and a bunch of other minor stuff.

I’ve thought about getting a Z71. Nice truck!

ZR2 is a nice rig but I hate the interior, plus that shock system seems pretty complex/pricey.

I agree with you about interior. What bothers me the most it comes with keys (no push button to start) also the wireless charging pad is so small I cannot fit any phone.

Nice looking truck! I was just looking at those myself since my Tacoma is 11 years old with almost 200k miles. My wife wants to get something that we can take the top off of and cruise the beach, so the Bronco seemed to be right on time. However, I agree with you. I'm not a fan of how Ford is doing things. If I can't test drive it prior to them "locking" me in with a huge non-refundable down payment, then I'll be out as well. 1st year production vehicles are usually where they try to figure out all the areas they went wrong...and for nearly $60k for the build I want, that's too much of a risk.

Good looking truck. I haven't actually pulled the trigger yet, nor canceled my Bronco reservation, but I'm about 99 percent sure I'm going to pick up a used Jaguar F Type R instead. I'll just build out my Grand Cherokee into more of an off roader. It will be all I'll ever need.

I still love the Bronco and I'll revisit it in 2-3 years when there are more/better options. I'm just feeling too nervous with how Ford has handled this to remain all in on the first year. Hope it works out great for everyone getting the first ones though!

This was actually my first choice, with a diesel. But the back seat room doesn't seem to be enough for a rear facing car seat, a forward facing car seat my 6'5" ass and my wife.

Also the proper number of pedals on the bronco makes me happy.

Nice truck enjoy
