Just picked up my bronco this morning and drove it for the first time. The instrument cluster is straight garbage. Did Ford let an intern design this thing holy shit. First off why are there two speedometers if you want a digital one make it an option not a standard this person needs to go to UX design school for Christ sake

Yep its a nightmare, hopefully ota updates let us change this in the future but the raptor cluster looks pretty sweet at least. To me tho the real disapointment goes to how far over the analog spedo is. I never see it due to my hand being in the way, Updates wont change that.

cant say I have any strong opinions about the cluster... whats so bad about it?

Mind you, I have the 10 speed, I dont really give a hoot about the tach... but in any manual car Ive owned, I stop looking at the tach about 2 weeks in anyway. just sort of learn the sound of the engine and know where you are at.

If they can update it to drop the digital speedo, I'll be good. Though a dial tach would be preferred as well.
Hopefully somebody will swap a Bronco Raptor instrument panel to prove the concept 🙏

I understand why they did it. The actual speedo is basically unreadable where it is placed so they need a digital one in the middle that is visible.

The speedo is actually very nice looking I just cant see it sitting in the drivers seat.

I would bet they were all excited about the pretty speedo and didn't figure out the visibility issues until it was too late. By then the solution was just to put the speed right in the middle of the screen.

Tach is way more annoying.

I don't see the problem. Besides the way people drive nowadays they don't look at the speedometer anyway.

As someone who studied UX previously, the cluster definitely sucks on initial glance. When you get used to it (eventually), it's livable.

Sound doesn't help much with a quiet engine especially running with the top off and blasting Iron Maiden.

It's terrible but the real problem is that stupid analog speedo. If you're gonna have analog ANYTHING it should be a tach. Otherwise go full digital.

Analog speedos in modern cars at stupid and useless.

Don’t mind it too much. It’s not Ferrari quality, but I see everything I need.

Not to mention, they did such a good job dampening the NVH the rig feels totally numb. Can't hear it, can't feel it ... I'm not even sure its really there!
