Not a fan of moons on 60s vehicles, not a fan here either. But to each their own

Why do people who hate retro stuff even have an interest in the 6g which is as retro as can be by design?

I saw these guys on instagram, I dont know if these wheels are for sale yet. But I'd snag a set in a heartbeat and have them coated black or white, with the chrome center cap.

Check em out:

and then go on about how impractical a 2 door is and also they don't think theremovable top is a good idea. Seriuosly go buy a 4Runner if that's your thing!

They are Outlaw II's. American racing makes many different sizes with all different specs so you have to make sure you get the correct ones. They seem to change with the offset quite drastically. Mine are 17x8 with the +18 offset, 108 bore size and 5.21 BS.

The +18 offset has a 108mm bore so using the correct lug nuts will negate the need for hub centric rings (any aftermarket wheels that have a center cap that goes from the back will not let you use hub rings anyway).

The +30mm offset wheels have a hub bore of 73.1mm I think so they will be too small to fit over the OEM hubs (which are 93 or 96mm, I can't remember which).
do you have the product code/part #? only option I can find is 0 offset. thanks

That’s probably the best retro build I’ve seen. Is that a Heritage or did you do the work? I’d love to see it with the top removed for SNG’s. Either way, looks great!

Although they never (that I’m aware of) put “poverty” caps on early Broncos (also called dog dish or police hubcaps) I think it would work with the correct era caps. The thread starter has late-50’s very early 60’s style caps (I believe) on it which don’t quite fit the timeline, and IMO also look too much like the perfectly round and smooth baby-moons for my taste anyway.
I have some original early 70’s F100 poverty caps that would at least be era correct. Just on the fence about going that route. I have found a wheel manufacturer that has the correct wheel that they would just snap on correctly. They aren’t cheap. There’s also another wheel manufacturer that makes tabs to retro fit poverty caps to almost any wheel.
