Depends on how you look at value. Wraps temporary, paint is permanent. My resale value stays the same because the original paint is perfect under the wrap, literally the sun has never seen it. A paint job has now ruined the resale because you’d need to find someone that wants that exact color. Plus $5000 for paint isn’t doing the entire car. The door jams, under the hood, wheel wheels, etc still aren’t painted. That said, I agree, wraps can get really pricey.
the other thing with PPF is that it always looks glossy, clean and is easy to clean. That’s worth a lot to me.

Question for you. I noticed you said Black is easy to wrap, what do you think about white? I'm probably just going to do some stripes, but if I can afford a full wrap I might go that route!
White/ reds / yellows are difficult because you have to wrap more into the nooks and crannies more if that makes sense. Black is the best color to start with.

Very cool. I had hoped the Cactus Grey was closer to this color than "drywall" color.
What do you mean? It's totally not drywall.

Ford Bronco I wrapped my Badlands in Light Pistachio Green khaki

Drywall has a LOT more character than Cactus Gray.

What Levine went on record as saying was the "production" color of Cactus Gray:

Is this that "mint green" that @Cfield90 was talking about?
No. It’s called Gloss Light Pistachio. And it’s made by Avery Dennison. I would say it’s closer to what a glow in the dark sticker looks like before it glows.

Thanks for the honest info on how long wraps actually last. Since we dont have an easily usable garage, I've avoided wrapping. Will those large hood decals and side stripes, like those in the Ford Accessories catalogue, last longer than a wrap, if washed, but kept outdoors?
It’s just vinyl. So same longevity. I will say. Vinyl that is mounted on vertical surfaces last a TON longer. Manufactures actually consider anything past 10° of vertical a horizontal surface and will not warranty it. Down low on the sides, you’re golden for years and years. Wash and wax it regularly. You’re good. 👍

I was absolutely thinking that it is going to be unique... that was exactly the same thought... and although I didn't like the color, I was really impressed with how it turned out (as I said before) and as a result I am going to look at the Avery materials - Especially if they last under normal garaged use for 3 years in Arizona (a rather brutal environment).
