Good evening IAG. How are those Capable Bumper options coming along? We don't have an exact timeline to share yet, but we have some prototype designs in the work. Bit more tweaking yet to go but we are getting there!
They are coming along nicely. We should be able to have a teaser for everyone in another month or so. This project blossomed into a few different products that I think will cause the capable bumper community to reconsider switching to a modular bumper! We are shooting to release these late this year, early next year. Stay tuned!Good evening IAG. How are those Capable Bumper options coming along?
Yah...I would rather go aftermarket than modular. And I've struggled with buying lesser quality lights (obviously) over cost. BD sets the standard and I think I'm going to save my pennies up vs going with a lesser option. Just need a stylish/clean looking bull bar for the Capable bumper to mount them on. Maybe an X-mas present to me! Cheers. They are coming along nicely. We should be able to have a teaser for everyone in another month or so. What type of bar are you looking for? The mini style or something a little bigger like the OE style for the Modular bumper? Or maybe even a full bar providing protection for the entire grille? Are you planning on an LED light bar, or individual lights?Yah...I would rather go aftermarket than modular. And I've struggled with buying lesser quality lights (obviously) over cost. Definitely mini style...maybe a little lower profile than what you have in your drawings. Hopefully there will be enough space to mount (4) 6" individual lights. What type of bar are you looking for? Sorry, I just looked through the thread again and couldn’t find this - is there a time frame for the new mini bull bar (mod bumper) that you’ve been developing? They are coming along nicely. Most of our engineering team is out at SEMA this week but we will circle back with an ETA shortly!Sorry, I just looked through the thread again and couldn’t find this - is there a time frame for the new mini bull bar (mod bumper) that you’ve been developing?
The bumper corners only have the through holes on top for mounting. The threaded insert is actually in the main bumper assembly, which still allows the end to be fastened without the corners on.Whatever you do, do not attach the bull bar to the end bolt, so people have the option to remove the corner from the modular bumper, people will like the option to remove corners without affecting the bull bar.
Only a couple months and you'll be able to run them down along with all the modular bumper cool kids!I make it a point to drive around bulls. ( smart ass comment from a capable bumper owner).
After I saw Adam's post - I agree with him that it does look like the same one. So I am holding off buying anything until the rust issue gets resolved - if that is even possible.I am going to buy the Extreme Terrain RedRock Mini Bull Bar ($159)- since the company has its own brand and appears to have a good reputation. A little more money - but I don't want to have to deal with having this start to rust right away - which the cheaper ones like Mabett offers ($130) are known to do.
