In my own search for a mod bumper winch mount I saw others asking if the IAG mount was compatible with the Apex Badland 12k. The answer is NO and YES, depending on how much you want to modify the mount and/or winch. You can see I had to grind two areas: the fairlead gusset and the backside of the bullbar. I would rather not have removed so much material from the bull bar but still plenty strong for what it does. Hope this helps others decide which direction they want to go. If IAG is listening, it really would be some minor adjustments (bull bar lean forward 1/2” more, gussets contoured slightly) to make this winch compatible. But I understand, design, tooling, manufacturing etc is more complicated than I could probably imagine. Anyway, all that said, I am happy with using this mount as a starting point. I could never fab to the same quality as the base and the two bolt on recovery points that replace OEM and form the mounting points for the winch plate. I may cut the bull bar off completely at some point and fab my own stinger or whatever. And I Will have to relocate front camera (100% blocked) and 2 middle parking sensors.

All in for under $1k, tough to beat. Its 11:20pm here, my sons and I just finished the install and enjoying some Waylon and Michelob now. Will tidy up the wires and such tomorrow.

Dang. Good to know. I was looking at that option last night (while you were cursing at it) because my RB hidden mount is already rusting around the fairlead opening.

Could you avoid cutting the bull bar if you relocated the control box under the hood?

Makes me wonder which winches fit. I found it weird that they didn’t even have a winch mounted in any of their pics on their website. @IAG Performance

Might want to drill a couple weep holes in the ends of the tube to help prevent rust out.

Yeah the box can be relocated, the winch comes with cables and some other plastic covers for doing so, and that would clear the bullbar. The control box is pretty big though. I briefly contemplated putting it under the hood. Then I went for the grinder. IAG does list 2 winches on their website confirmed fit. I DID know that the Apex wasn’t on the list, but I thought all ot would take would be grinding those two gussets, based on @Hemisfear ‘s experience (search his post, he used this mount with a different wich).

I think I am maybe tagging the wrong person, I thought it was @Hemisfear that had to grind the gussets. It looks like he was able to mount his Zeon with no issues though. Now I can’t find the post where the person had to do something similar to mine.

I'd be curious about what the camera captures with this install. How about a screen grab of the truck's info screen?

Going through this mod with my IAG and a Super winch now. Didn't have to grind the fairlead part thankfully, but I'm curious, what paint did you use on the cut? Did you repaint the whole thing?
