OP like others have said you need to get your money back and just walk away from this deal. If you still have an order with that dealer see if you can transfer it to another dealer. If you can't then just bail on it and order the same thing from a high volume dealer to get one in hopefully less than 6 months.

It really sucks and I am sorry this happened to you but realize we have all been waiting for a long long time (check my signature).

this sounds like a Lifetime Television movie I saw once, where 4 different couples were promised the same baby and were paying money towards the delivery of the baby and in the end they were all scammed. And then they all hired more attorneys to try to get the baby. But there never was really a baby available to begin with. The people who suffered the worst were the ones who could not let the dream of that particular baby go.

I would walk away and get yourself properly on a list with an upstanding dealer. I would also drag that bad dealer's name through the mud as much as you can.

I agree with the comments that the dealer found someone else who would buy it for a lot more or it is someones buddy that was promised a Bronco. I also agree with the comments about walking away. Find a dealer with a large allocation willing to sell for msrp and make a road trip out of it.
Many of us will be waiting for years for our Bronco due to Ford's allocation system. It sucks all the way around, but these things at least for now are in high demand and getting one isnt easy.

If that's how you see , that's fair. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. That's what makes the forum a great place. Thanks for taking the time to read it, I appreciate the differing perspective.

I don’t get it, the buyer’s name isn’t gonna match the name on the reservation no matter who they sell it to. What difference does it make if it’s your name or some other random buyer? The dealer can sell it at any price they want, they just don’t want to sell it to anyone for msrp.

I guess first, I would ask the lady who holds the reservation if there was any way she could make the purchase, and sell it to you for a small profit to make it worth her trouble. Second, I would ask the dealer what they are going to list it for on the lot, maybe it won’t have as big of a markup as some we’ve been hearing about. If it’s worth hiring a lawyer, it’s certainly worth paying a couple grand extra to NOT have to hire a lawyer. Third, the obvious next step if you still can’t come to an agreement, I would follow that manager guy home one night and murder him while he sleeps, then decapitate his corpse and leave his severed head on the hood of your bronco sitting out on the lot.
