With MIC shortage pushing every 2DR to the far back of the list, I'm curious about this.

You need to add “provided it has the electrical and washer hardtop connectors”

If Ford can't provide a 2-door hard top, that tells me that a hard top is not makeable, and waiting a month or a year won't change that.

I know all about covid & chips...but let's remember Bronco PRODUCTION was supposed to begin a long, long time ago in December 2020. That Webasto can produce ZERO non-defective tops at the moment is pretty troubling. When no reasons are given, I begin to wonder if the issue is engineering design flaws. At the moment I'm from Missouri: "Show Me".

Does Webasto make the modular hard top also? If so, does that mean the mod top availability is pushed back further?

BS on Webasto, BS on Ford
who makes the tops for jeep , maybe get Leer tops to look into this, Leer tops have been around for over forty years give or take.
I honestly think this is an engineering problem . not labor shortage, not covid related.

ford is selling us the steaks and hamburger meat before the raise the cow

Do we know this to be true? I haven’t heard anything about all 2drs being pushed to the back of the list. In fact I haven’t heard Ford make a distinction at all between 2dr and 4dr MIC tops, only that they are constrained.....particularly FEs and WTs, That would be extremely disappointing if true. Can you post where you saw that please?

If Webasto can make a top for the Rolls Royce Dawn, then they should be able to Engineer a top for the Bronco. That being said, it looks like they weren’t ready for high volume manufacturing at the rate the Bronco required.

Even better, give me my 2 door minus the roof and I will source a soft top through a local vendor and be done with it.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: I want the vehicle I ordered. I will not change it.

Now, if you told me something like the MIC wasn’t available now for a year or so, I might consider the painted hard top but never the soft top.

I want the vehicle I order and don't want to compromise, even though I'm a '22 M.Y 2 Dr.

With that said, if they included the electrical & washer connections with the soft top AND included an incentive like free shipping, to your local Dealer, with a guaranteed price discount on the hard top of your choice, I would probably do it.

We all know this scenario will never happen, so my switching to a soft top will never happen, if the hard tops are still an issue when '22 M.Y production rolls around.
