If Ford were to make a full size bronco...

If Ford were to make a full size Bronco again would you like to see it F150 based or F250 based?

That would be like if I said I can tell you live secluded off in the sticks, because you’re not in touch with the larger world out there.

I know it sounds nice to say people are buying Jeeps for the chops, but that’s just not the case anymore for the majority of Jeep’s buyers in 2019. That whole idea died when it went four-door.
Huh? The four-door is way more capable in a lot of situations.

You’re comparing the size of a 4-door Edge to a 2-door Bronco. Unsurprisingly, the only dimension larger on the 4-door Edge is length. That’s probably because it’s a 4-door, ya think?
Now I'm legitimately confused. You want Ford to make a full size, 4 door SUV based on the F150? Isn't that literally what the Expedition is?

Good grief, here we go again.

I could just as easily say that Ford already makes an Escape, so why don’t you just buy that? You’d say because of all these other cool features the Escape doesn’t have but the Bronco will, and I would say the same thing right back to you, only wanting those same things in a larger size.

No, I mean literally the expedition was the 4 door successor to the full size bronco and still is based on the F150 platform, so if a 4 door FSB is what you want, that's it. The escape isn't even based on the ranger or any truck platform.

I'm really trying to understand what features we are talking about that the expedition doesn't have that an old FSB does other than form factor, I originally figured you wanted a 2 door but I guess not? Is it the removable roof section? If they made a lifted Expedition Tremor with a removable roof section, is that the vehicle you want?

For me personally the vehicle I want is just a small 2 door SUV version of the ranger raptor. That's it. If Ford made a 2 door SUV based on the ranger currently, I would be hoping they would come out with a Raptor version. I do not care about removable roof or doors, those are not features I would likely ever use anyways.

Look, the burden of proof behind what the market wants is on you, right now its clearly the jeep wrangler and Ford marketing knows this. you will need some data to go along with all this opinion. whole lotta assumin

If you're going big, don't half-ass it. Use a super duty grade frame and axles.
With the dimensions of the BroncoBronco becoming clearer, the idea of an F150 based member of the 'Bronco family' seems even less sensible, and the heavy hitter superduty class Bronco continues to sound better as a sibling.

Off the record...Super Duty. If in charge of marketing, I would definitely order that for MY 2024. Far from opposed to a larger Bronco Max.

Yeah, a 250 based sfa 6.7 or 7.3 bronco would be awesome.

This is literally the "General Ford Bronco" discussion. I could care less if you think this muddies the waters, if readers are too stupid to tell the difference between intelligent speculation and creative discussion that's on them. You for example have your own source, so you "know" what's coming. I too know what's coming, I AM a source, there's not a single thing I have learned or can learn from you, your source, or anyone on here. There is still obviously information I have withheld that is confidential. I am here to occasionally steer the discussion the right way on intelligent speculative posts, and to see what people want/are interested in with creative discussion posts, and to have a good time with fellow Bronco/off-road enthusiasts. I suggest you try enjoying it too, leave a vote, or not, IDC.

It's in the post, right now I'm interested to see what people want/like. And guess what, maybe 5 years down the road I'll have some say in this stuff at Ford, and I'll build FSB's just to spite you ;)
If that's how you feel just read the car and driver comments on litteral anything bronco
