You're also talking about a diesel which has significantly more torque then a gas motor. I do believe the 2.3 will be enough, especially after some upgrades and a tune but I can't compare a diesel to a gasser.
I emphasized the diesel because it's actually slower than the V6 offering for that platform. The diesel Colorado's takes nearly 10 seconds to get to 60 MPH. People are worried about a powertrain combo that will likely do high 6 to low 7 seconds 60 MPH to merge on the highway.

Yes!!!! Another fun thread where we get to watch Manual Elitists squirm because Ford put them in such a juxtaposition with the 4 cylinder.

How long should these motors last for anyway? Everyone acts like year 3 and kablooey!!1

I say IC+Catch Can, then fbo+tune should last a long time assuming you dont skimp or neglect maintenance

I got ya. I've been a GM my whole life until I bought my F-250. There quality just isn't there anymore IMO (minus the C8).

I agree with you and I seem to keep hearing not so good things about the 2.7. I'm not sure if that a maintenance thing or what though.

I just wanna take a sample of those with issues and see how they were with maintenance and stuff and whether it was defects, bad luck or neglect.

I mean, for every bad luck, there's someone tuned and st2-3 without touching the intercooler as well

I had a 15 mustang with the 2.3 it went boom. Never again. 2.7 is the only option I would choose.
