I’m sure it’s already gonna be fun. So, safe too.
Take the traditional concept of "pick two" from Price/Quality/Delivery-time and make it Price/Safety/Fun. I see most modern accomodations for safety as an opposition to the qualities that make vehicles enjoyable and aesthetically pleasing.

This is not a widely held opinion

Realistically as long as it does better than these two I am fine with it.

Agreed. Wranglers results are a super low bar, so it should hopefully be better than that at least.

It's no news to me that most people are idiots, and want more security theater in their lives to make them feel warm fuzzies.
Wtf is security theater? Please explain your post.

Apparently that person believes vehicles have not become quantitatively safer over the past decades. Some people don’t understand how numbers work.

Statistics are not on your side. But as you said, most people are idiots!

Maybe we could go back to the good old days when the vehicles were fun but the steering columns would spear you like a pig ready to be roasted in a frontal collision.

Folks that don't want a reasonably safe vehicle that doesn't crumple like an aluminum can make no sense. Our fun vehicles travel at much higher speeds with much crappier drivers than in decades past. I can tell you that old school drum brakes and sloppy suspensions are no fun when dealing with modern traffic. High COG with rear drums locking up lead to a wallowing effect in a panic stop...ask my how I know. I'll take modern safety devices please.

Sorry, I'd like the Bronco to be safe and I know it will be fun too.
