I did a trial run with those on my 21 Defender, they shift way to much, gave up on them after a few days.
Oh good feedback. Did you use loctite at all or just as-is they were shifting?

Why clean it? Mud is the original "ceramic" coat. My old 2 door 4Runner was in the mud so much, I cleaned it up right before I sold it. My neighbor said "I didn't know it was red!"
