Seems like it fits the bill of all the people wanting a Hardtop only Bronco.
With a unibody and a transverse drivetrain, not even close.

You were making a big fuss about Jeep having an affiliation with the word “Recon.” Now you’re saying it’s about putting money into a vehicle with limited capabilities. On a bronco forum. A vehicle vastly less capable than a jeep all while trying to portray yourself as some kind of “real wheeler” when you air down so little you used that to justify those dumbass four hose systems.

It’s just another car with a dumbass name for a trim package. Like sasquatch. Or raptor. Or bronco.

I really don’t care how many sticks you can handle at the same time.

“I’m a reeeeel wheeler!!!”

🙄
I critique vehicles, not posters.
(Well, the Jeepster was an exception. But not to his face.)

Despite what you’ve been led to believe by your favorite pixar video, vehicles are inanimate objects, incapable of their own modifications. Critiquing the vehicle is critiquing the owner/poster. I’ll make fun of you for having broncbuster tierod braces on your ride and trying to come across as an expert, but for the most part I’m just happy if people like what they’re driving. If I don’t like it then I won’t do it on mine. Pretty simple.

That said, please share some pictures of your ride and I’ll be happy to give you my opinion on why it’s a faux wheeler.

No tears for the "Recon," or the people who spend a lot of money for a vehicle with limited capabilities and range. It's just a sort of stolen valor type thing, akin to men who put rank they didn't actually earn on their profiles.
I get it, words have certain meaning, especially to an old Recon Marine and the current generation only relates to the word from video games not from real life. Retired Navy Chief here that thankfully never saw what you probably did but you have my gratitude and respect!

In the interest of candor, my Recon experience never involved combat, but I saw some as a basic 0311 grunt, and I thank you glorious deck apes for looking after us sea-going bellhops.

If you swapped the grill out for one with a Ford logo this thing could be confused with a Bronco Sport.
Thought it was a Bronco Sport in the thumbnail.

The Recon will immediately be the most interesting EV you can buy. I believe the Wrangler PHEV is already the best-selling hybrid for that same reason.

Most buyers are doing nothing more than gravel parking lots at soccer practice; they want a capable-looking vehicle regardless of what it can actually do. Recon will fit the bill.

As a Marine with jump wings, I am thoroughly disgusted that Jeep put the name "Recon" on an EV.
Actually I'm repulsed just by seeing the word "Recon" anywhere on the same page with "Jeep."

There's a large thread on a FB Bronco group with those who bought the Bronco purely for the looks and never intend to off road it. There's a large group of buyers who are purely superficial.

How many folks buy trucks to tow or haul stuff around constantly?

The biggest issue with the Recon is that it is made by Jeep/Stellantis. Their QC is sh*t and it will be overpriced.

Folks want a hurricane engine in this? Do they like pain and suffering and having it spend days in the shop?
