The joys of waiting for vehicles: Maybe most of the kinks will be worked out by the time I get mine. Friend was telling me, "Don't get the Bronco! It's trash! I've seen so many complaints about it!" Alas, here I am, undeterred and patiently waiting. Still may have to get aftermarket Tie Rods. Wonder if they fixed the issue with the front drive shaft that somebody created an aftermarket bushing for.

PICTURE AND VIDEO ATTACHED OF THE ISSUE.

HELL YES.

I’ve been reporting highway vibrations that dissipate in 4x4

Everyone keeps telling me it’s my wheels which have been balanced three times. Dealer said it’s normal. Just read this and checked my boot. ITS RIPPED OPEN

UPDATE: Mine is an august 2021 build BUT the boot IS cracked

DONT LET THE BUILD DATE DETER YOU. CHECK YOUR STUFF

Well the letter says they will replace the shaft, not the boot. And my build date is within range but no letter yet...and no notice in the Ford Pass app

Boot is the problem - it’s part of the shaft. Both will certainly be replaced

Good thing they acknowledged this so you folks don't have to try to convince your dealer there is a problem. My dealer could not replicate it a few times until they finally had me in the shop to point it out. You may not know you have this problem if you don't take your top off, that is the only time I could hear it. Has to be warm, like 20-30minutes of driving. Jack up one front tire and spin, you'll hear the driveshaft making funny noises.

UPDATE: This affects all Broncos with build dates from 9/23/2020 through 9/17/2021.

I have the same questions. I will update this thread as more info comes in.
build date 9/23/2020? Couldn't even order until early 2021.

I reported this months ago, had it on the list for when they did my warranty MIC top replacement. Explained to the service writer exactly where it was, how I identified it, and that it only does it hot. Pick up the Bronco 4 days later, he says they didn't mess with it because they didn't have any parts and he didn't want to damage the boot without a replacement on hand, going to order parts.

Time goes by, no word. I call, they tell me they couldn't replicate it when they had it. No shit, has to be hot. They tell me to bring it in, I said I'm not leaving it with you until you have parts. I'll bring it, you can check it out hot and order what you need.

I show up explain why I'm there...."so you're dropping it off?" NO someone needs to check it now. He gets the service manager who comes out, gives it a listen, says we'll check it out. Sure enough, exactly what I said it was.
