Hey everyone. I noticed the trim around my 8" screen melted, or somehow the finish peeled away in a spot. Maybe it was there and I never noticed. Can't really say, I almost never touch the screen and have only had it 1.5 months, but now that I saw the blemish, I can't unsee it. I dapped in some permanent marker and it helped some, but there's definitely a slight dip in the plastic.
Now, I know this isn't the end of the world, and I may even be able to have it replaced through warranty, but I don't want the dealer to tear my dash apart.
But I'm using this little goober as a reason to poll everyone for cover up ideas. The 8" screen panel/bezel/surrounding isn't the most pleasant thing to look at, and I've hunted for days to see what all exists in the aftermarket world or vinyl accents that might enhance the interior and serve to cover this up. Surprisingly, I've come up kind of short. There are those stick on accent pieces, which don't do much for presentation, but I may pick one up and spray it matte silver to match my Bronco.
So, anyone have any thoughts, or ideas? Maybe a silver pinstripe around the edge to add some flare to the enter of the panel?
