This comes from my dealer, and has been confirmed from several posts by users saying how many reservations their dealers have and their allocations. Apparently Ford thought this would make it fair between all dealers and their reservation holders.

Ford, wait just a minute there...

This might be fair if reservation holders and when they made their reservations were spread evenly across all dealers.

I can see certain dealers having a disproportionate number of early reservation holders. (Granger, Stephens, etc.), meaning that more than 2/3 of their reservation holders will not be included in this initial allocation.

You then add in those dealers that have explicitly stated that they will manipulate the system to protect their current reservation holders, by putting reservations that transfer to them after a certain date, regardless of their reservation date, to the back of the order line...

And you've got a cluster fuck of the biggest proportions!!!

I have a 7/16 reservation and I literally just made another one today... Figured I'd have a safer backup plan for when the initial rollout turned into a complete clusterf*ck. I am not in a real rush and am OK getting a 2022, so may just sit tight and skip the headache.

As an October reservation I had accepted I'm looking at a 2022 model, which is fine with me, but I can't imagine what someone with a July 16th reservation is feeling.
7/15 thinking I can’t hold my current truck together long enough.

You could have a 7/15 holder at a dealer with a large proportion of early reservation holders, with them being outside of the 30% mark.

And an hour away at a small podunk dealer that didn't get a single reservation until 8/20, and their top 30% will get their Broncos before the 7/15 guy.

That's certainly better for Granger customers than if they weighted the local market, Jeep sales, Number of dogs in local shelters, etc. Either way, I'm giving up a day-1 res for October in the hopes that I can get MY22. There seem to be plenty in the same boat to allow the early birds to get theirs more quickly, if it's a flat percentage.

I would assume so, but the Granger guys are the only ones that can confirm that.

Not necessarily...Granger Motors is also the Jeep dealer there.

Still, have they sold enough to allocate multiples more than any dealer? Possible, but I doubt it. Granger has to be a mathematical problem for Ford's algorithm. There are no easy answers.

7/15 (actually reserved afternoon of 7/14) res holder at Granger here... this is exactly what I'm worried about!

Man, I have a 9/3 res so knew I would get a my22, but can't imagine being an early res holder and watching a 8/5 guy get his first because he is with a small dealer that didn't get many reservations, hard to believe @Ford would screw their best customers like this!
